  1. Happy Birthday jp2lose!

  2. I had my surgery on March 8th and I've hardly eaten anything since. I feel like I was able to get more fluids and Proteins in when I first came home than I can now. Part of this is because the thought of food or drinks repulses me. I also find that if I do get a few bites of something in, I am uncomfortable for hours and drinking makes it worse. When I try to sip, sip, sip my tummy becomes very uncomfortable. I think I'm averaging 200-300 calories a day. I did call the drs office on Monday and she really wasn't listening to me, just kept telling me I need to eat something 6 times a day. If I did that I would not get ANY fluids in. I'm calling today again after they get back from their luch break, but i was just curios if anyone knows if this is enough to survive on. I personally don't think it is :cool0:

    max protein

GNC has a whey Protein isolate that has 28gms of protein per scoop. That's the best I've found. Good luck! Jen

    Is this normal?

I also had my surgery on 3/8 and I'm finding it very difficult to get in the required liquids and Proteins. I have absolutely no hunger, but I'm made myself eat a little just for the calories. My doctor does things differently than most and wants me to take a bite of something every 3 hours. It's so hard to drink just 1oz of Fluid when I feel like I'm stuffed and there couldn't possibly be room for anything else. I'm not regretting my sleeve, but I sure hope this is swelling will pass with time!!! I've also had the gurgling from time to time, and I think it means I need some food! Feel free to pm me if you want to chat since we are sleeve sisters!!
  5. Hi! I'm planning on getting sleeved soon and have been paying more attention to my eating habits and watching for my "full" signal. What I'm noticing is I tend to keep eating even after I'm comfortable because I know I'll be hungry again within an hour if I don't keep eating. I know I will get full fast after eating very little after surgery, but how long will I stay full?
  6. I'm seriously considering going to Mexico to Dr. Aceves, but my husband is worried it's a scam and they're going to kidnap me! Any tips on how to convice him this is for real?? I've read everything I can on the dr. and everything sounds great. My husband hates to fly so I will have to go alone. Right now I'm looking at a surgery on 12/5/09.
