I'm at a stall, down a couple gain one back, so close to getting out of the 200 lbs region, but this is so discouraging. Huzzah for your weight loss, that is truly amazing! Not likely to happen to me tho, darn anyway. your picture looks great - is it a more recent one? You are such a beauty!

I am hoping your remark about bargain shopping was not meant to be unkind, but it did take me aback. I had already made up my mind about Dr. Almanza and Emmanuel Medical, it is just that the special they started Sept 1st galvanized me into action about it. I had many ducks to line up in a row and now have done it all, so please wish me the best. I feel I have saved myself well over $3000 by catching that ad. Not once had I considered any other facility, so felt it was serendipitous that I happened to be online in that forum when I saw the ad! I even got the 28th Sept date for the free airfare!

I went to a meeting last night and those that know me saw the difference in the 18lbs I had lost! That was nice!
What a sweet moment you had when your hubby saw you in that new outfit! What size was it? and what size were you before the surgery?

United (Express/SkyWest) flight #6307, flies out on the 28th to Denver, arr 5:05, and then lvs Denver, flight #0939 at 5:05 ,arrives in San Diego arr 8:11 if you are heading for Mexico! This is a great way to go. Back the same way, I can give you times etc to explore. Hope you haven't finished booking already! Seriously call me! 244 1452!!

No, I realize now that no one means any offense when they speak so highly of the Mexicali hospital, it probably is the best in Mexico. I have no qualms about the surgeon I am going to, and will keep you informed of the quality of care I receive there. I am a tough old broad, have been thru many surgeries and usually surpass all expectations with the recovery so I am expecting nothing less. I feel that all the posts I read have kept me informed as to what can happen, and have my fingers crossed that I can get thru without complications of any sort.
I hope you will be my friend thru-out this as you seem to be closer to my age than most.
I fly down to San Diego on this Sunday. Please stay in touch with me.

Carolyn, didn't take offence dear, so it is not a problem, I think I misread some of your "rant" anyway. The part about not having a choice as to which doctor...took it as your understanding of our system. So. I ranted back! I tend to do that on occasion!

I need to get back on here to get the support as well, been languishing a lot! so easy to go with the flow once you can eat anything. I certainly will have no trouble maintaining my weight loss, found that out in a hurry! LOL

Holy cow, thank you my dear, appreciate your comments, has been so long since I had compliments on my appearance makes me tear up reading them. You will see for yourself when you are at the halfway point like me. I won't guarantee my wrinkles won't be showing greatly at the end of this journey, guess we will find out! LOL! thanks again!
