Well my dear - I have to admit you were right all along about that place! Sure would love to see it shut down, so many many more leaks and infections and horror stories going on. Congrats on being a size 4! I have one pr of size 8 pants but they are knit and quite a bit of stretch! Most of mine are 10s now tho. I hope to lose more, but like you it won't be the end of the world if I don't!

Welcome to the weight loss clan, you are never too old to get your health back, and look good again. I am not going to be on this site much anymore, can't handle the owner being bought out by Betancourt and his so called clinic. Such a shame too - so many of us depended on each other for support. My email address for future is stoongal@shaw.ca, talk to me there if you like.

you look wonderful Tiffany, congratulations on your success and thanks for your example to people here. I need to get back on here to get the support as well, been languishing a lot! so easy to go with the flow once you can eat anything. I certainly will have no trouble maintaining my weight loss, found that out in a hurry! LOL

Holy cow, thank you my dear, appreciate your comments, has been so long since I had compliments on my appearance makes me tear up reading them. You will see for yourself when you are at the halfway point like me. I won't guarantee my wrinkles won't be showing greatly at the end of this journey, guess we will find out! LOL! thanks again!

doing great Francisco, have lost almost 35 lbs so far, am eating most everything now, still not exercising yet, we have had such a cold spell - foolish to go outdoors to walk even. But am doing a lot more housework and babysitting, making enought to pay down my loan, 9 more months to go! We have a new world Gym opening near us here in February, maybe by then I will be in good enough shape to take advantage of the facilties. I tried getting in contact with Joseph lately but he has changed his email account so it was returned. Have you ever heard from him? Had a couple of notes from Stephen, he sounds real busy with his schooling and family life. Hope he checks in again soon! Any more pictures? I will get some taken at Christmas time with my daughter's family and will post them then.

Want to welcome you aboard, and to let you know that you are not old at all! I believe I have that honor here! We seniors seem to go through this procedure with flying colors, nice to know in advance that the odds are in your favor!
I am 2 1/2 months postop and have lost 35 lbs so far. Feel terrific and with no side effects or complications of any kind.
Feel free to ask away if you have any questions, will be glad to lend an ear and help out any way we can!
Cheers,
Donna

Carolyn, didn't take offence dear, so it is not a problem, I think I misread some of your "rant" anyway. The part about not having a choice as to which doctor...took it as your understanding of our system. So. I ranted back! I tend to do that on occasion!

You really should post some pictures! Would love to see them!
I went to a meeting last night and those that know me saw the difference in the 18lbs I had lost! That was nice!
What a sweet moment you had when your hubby saw you in that new outfit! What size was it? and what size were you before the surgery?

I'm at a stall, down a couple gain one back, so close to getting out of the 200 lbs region, but this is so discouraging. Huzzah for your weight loss, that is truly amazing! Not likely to happen to me tho, darn anyway. your picture looks great - is it a more recent one? You are such a beauty!
Cheers, Donna

Yes, my dr. is supportive, they required an OK from him because of my age. The surgeon, Dr. Almanza, is quite experienced with the sleeve even though he's been only at it for over 2 years for that center. Does about 4 a week, and has at least 400 under his belt they told us when we were there. I am feeling great, just have to not eat quite so fast with things that taste so good like the lentil soup I made today! Do phone Shirley and get more info on prices as it looks like they might have changed, OK?
