everyone is different - I haven't had any pain medication since the morning after surgery.

I'm anxious to get back to beef. I miss eating steak. I know a big reason that beef is a later food is because its harder to digest, however, because i eat my beef/bison/venison pittsburgh rare, It does digest much easier. BUT I'm following instructions - Its just hard to live on chicken alone! I'm a carnivore, dangit! haha Looking forward to that sirloin

I grew up on wild game - pretty much exclusively, until we started raising cattle. I can't wait to get back to it

make sure that anything soft you eat is also juicy or you have something liquidy to "lube up" the food. It might sound weird, but its important - you're retraining your esophagus and stomach to accept these foods. try mixing the tuna with mayo, the mashed potatoes with gravy, the eggs with...well - I dunno!

awesome! Glad you enjoyed your little indulgence! Its so awesome to not feel like ya need to eat the mess out of a whole ton of crap food to feel satisfied

My 24Th Day Just Ate Macaronni And Felt So Faint And Sweaty
circa replied to hamanyq8's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's a whole lot of carbs that your body isn't used to. Also, if you didn't boil the ever lovin' life out of the macaroni, it can tend to sit very heavy in the sleevel. I would recommend eating protein first and if you want something else with it, then go for some carbs. Like with mashed potatoes, eat with a nice healthy cream of mushroom soup as a gravy. Helps to keep them from sticking and gives some nutritional value. -
I Think That's It For Me? :(
circa replied to Shalon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your surgery would not be considered a failure - you lost at least 50% of your excess weight. If you want to lose more, you'll have to work harder - add in workouts, up protein, lower carbs, up your calories, do a boot camp reset. Lots of options! -
A big reason to do weights before cardio is to preserve form. You can easily injure yourself if you're fatigued from cardio while doing weights. Secondly, weights Ideally, you will use the weight lifting to burn off glycogen supplies so when you hit your cardio, you're burning fat directly and more efficiently.

Another "should I Be Able To Eat This"? Post :)
circa replied to LoserMama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How long did it take you to eat all of that? Did you drink liquids at the same time? I don't really think its all that much - especially since so much of it was cottage cheese. -
Help! Everyones Telling Me Not To Go To Mexico, That Its Too Dangerous!
circa replied to Rachael Torres's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd like to know what makes them think Tijuana is dangerous?? I found it to be quite safe and relaxing. I was there less than 3 weeks ago. -
I looked in the mirror this morning and I could actually see that I've lost some weight in my face. That made me very happy

How Soon Did You Start Working Out After Gastric Sleeve Surgery, Other Questions
circa replied to Liliana Arleen's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I started walking every day immediately. I haven't done anything other than walk yet. At the 6 week mark I'll start circuit training. -
Sounds like you're doing great! The walking definitely makes a big difference! Awesome suggestion to have someone rub your back!

I have always thought it was a load of crap that a guy just "doesn't realize" - then i realized, that sometimes they don't. Some people, both men and women don't pay attention to the details. Some people, unless something causes them direct pleasure or pain, do not get the details. My husband has been one of them for a long time. That has changed a lot over the past year. Looking at his family, I get why he's been that way - and I never gave him a reason to turn into an adult. I did all the detail thinking and planning. Until about a year ago. Does he need reminders? Yup, but he's gotten a lot better about it. If he hadn't, I'd be single I'm glad you stood up for yourself. I hope he just had an obliviousness to your situation- just don't expect perfection overnight

Passport Picture Question- Calling All Travelers Abroad Please
circa replied to former_vbg's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Please also remember, that the people in customs are trained to look at certain facial features to determine who is in the picture -they don't care about the color, length, etc of hair. If you have plastic surgery on your face and change your chin, cheekbones, nose, etc - then its something to worry about.
