Frustrating!
This is very very common with the heavier you are. Clothes made in the much larger sizes can carry over many inches by the way they are made. Stretchy materials, elastics, etc... you probably can already fit a smaller size but just may not be all that necessary yet. Hugs!! You will get there. Believe you me, the smaller sizes are a PITA in their own right. You have to try on EVERYTHING because no one manufacturer makes the same size exact. Its really annoying.

Is It Ok To Eat Doritos After Being Sleeved ?
Well since you're just asking from the literal sense, yes I can eat Doritos... without problem. Do not mistake that with "without consequence"!! :-P

Im Soo Sleepy
I dealt with a really bad case of fatigue post op. It lasted for months too! I was getting all my supplements... everything! I was lacking nothing. I'll tell you what finally got me out of my funk. Picking up with my workouts. Now, you're only one month out so I in no way advise that, but - don't do like I did and wait for 4 months down the line to start picking up some kind of routine. Also, I notice a HUGE difference in my mood and fatigue even now if there is a morning where I don't wake up early and get my cardio in. I don't workout every single day, but it does affect me negatively when I don't. I'd rather give my body a rest from time to time though. One last thing to consider, it is Winter and this might have some effect on you as well. Good luck! ETA: I just seen what PDX wrote... I also had to up my carbs some too. I was getting less than 30g and upped it to 60g a day and I started feeling way better.

My Nails Won't Grow?!?
I use Biotin 5,000 mcg 4x per week. It helps with my hair and finger/toe nail growth/re-growth A LOT!! I get mine from GNC, dry capsule form.

I Want Your Thoughts On A Very Modest Goal Weight.....
@Sleeve, this is a very personal decision. If you feel fine at 165 Lbs then who am I to tell you otherwise? As long as you are happy and healthy, then I say go for it. The good thing about having a higher weight goal is, it will be easier to get there. If it's too low you run the risk of never making it and thus making you feel a failure... when any of us who are sleeved are anything but!! Another consideration is, if you hit 165 and feel you want to lose a little more then you can. All the best!! @Lynda, I hope you can find that article, I'd love to see it!! Great response too, whoott!!

When Did Your Brain Catch Up With Your Body?
I started taking full length pictures back in 2008 in when I was Lap-Banded, and was down around 100 Lbs from my highest weight. So I guess I'd say 100 Lbs lost, and I was 330 Lbs at my highest. I NEVER took photos when I was at my largest. In fact that brown sweater photo you see I was FORCED to take that simply by guilt. Meanies... LOL That is the only picture of me at my biggest that I know exists. I highly doubt there are any others. Now... seeing what everyone else sees is another beast in itself. I think as time is passing I'm seeing it a lot more. I mean, seeing myself for who I really am. A normal sized woman. Yeah, crazy!! I've been super obese and way over weight for decades. Realizing I'm a normal size now is hard to accept. I never feel fat anymore when I'm taking photos, but there are times when I'm sitting down and I do feel fat... or just walking around. I call those my "fat days". I happen to think this is normal though. I've heard many very thin women mention they were having fat days and I thought they were being ridiculous. Now I know what they are talking about. I think it takes a long time to over come this. As a matter of fact, I've still never been to a clothing boutique yet. You know, the ones where you won't find anything over a Size 12 or whatever. I plan to, I have no doubt I'd be able to wear their clothes... it's just a weird thing I have in my "fat" brain.

Are You Happy With Your Choice?
I can tell you this, I'm happy I got the sleeve... over the moon happy!! That said, in relation to getting the sleeve over bypass, I will never know because I only have the sleeve. I would not be against having the bypass or the DS in the future if I really needed to. If you are on the fence about both, the best thing to do is: Pull out a sheet of paper and do pro's and con's on both. List your co-morbidities and use that as a guide map on your final decision. Good luck!!

Protein Drink With Too Much Sugar!
Yes, always check the nutrition facts before drinking any type of protein supplement. In fact, it is a part of my routine on anything I'm eating or drinking.

The Basics Boot Camp
@Beach - RIGHT ON!!! Ehhh now, fittin size 8!! Was worth it huh? From here though the trick is to just follow sleever rules, you know, protein first, no drinking with meals... etc. And yes majority of that was water drop - but still is nice!! Xox

How Does It Feel When You Are Completely Healed?
If I eat too much its like I've inhaled tryptophan... and its really uncomfortable. My hunger level is always dependent on what I've eaten at my last meal. If it more Protein I never feel hunger, ever. If its more carby, then I will get tiny hunger pangs in a few hours usually. Not a whole lot though.

Offically Sleeved! Yippee!
Well I don't want to say yes for sure because no one can say, but I can tell you for me it has really slimmed me a lot and has helped a lot with looking toned. As a matter of fact I've seen many others where their results have been similar to mine. Good luck!!!

Wait...shouldn't Calories Per Day For Weight Loss Still Work The Same As Pre-Op?
To the OP, you are right within the 3rd week stall. About 99% of WLS patients, or anyone losing weight will experience a "no loss". Some will last about 2-5 weeks. Just continue on the right path as it sounds like you are, keep pushing your fluids and if possible up your walking a little bit. It will pass. One last thing, it's probably best not to weigh so much, you'll drive yourself bananas.

Offically Sleeved! Yippee!
@Allfor, thanks my dear!! At home I have a treadmill, an elliptical and a stationary bike. They do pretty good. It the running that gets the best results though. All the best!!

Underpronation. Where Do I Buy A Good Pair Of Cross Training Tennis Shoes?
I had to go to a foot doctor as well because I kept getting toe bruising. He suggested New Balance and Asics as the best fitting Cross Trainer shoes. He was absolutely right, I NEVER have issues ever anymore. Also, I've heard the Goodfeet Stores are helpful. Not sure if one is in your area, so here's a link to a map: http://www.goodfeet.com/locations/ Good luck! Nothing like a good pair of shoes that work of each of us.

Another Wierd Nsv

What Are Some On Your Mini Goals?
Making mini goals along my journey was the best idea ever. It kept me sane and looking only a little ahead instead of far ahead makes it like stopping to smell the roses!! You all will reach all of your goals - and I'm looking forward to reading all of your successful threads in the future. That said, I now only have one mini goal left. To work on the tummy. I start in 6 days!
-
One More Day!
Right on!! Practicing helps so much, I'm glad you did that.

Stalled This Early?
According to my math you have been the same weight for 3 days in a row? Ok, darlin' please take that scale and throw it out the window!! You're just going to drive yourself nuts. Right now is the time for healing. Get your fluids in #1 and Protein in #2 and #3 is RELAX. You're going to endure many stalls along the way. Being the same weight for 3 days is not a stall, more like 3 weeks.

1 More Week!
Yayyy glad everything went smooth!! :Banane57:
