  1. Ha!! You got me, I just came here ready to cheer for positive attitudes... LOL!! Not too long now! When do you start your pre op diet?
  2. Colors are usually higher in carbohydrates. It is only 5 days though, so I don't figure its much of a big deal.
  3. Hi AllFormy4, What you are feeling I felt myself. Even though I did over a years worth of research, when the time came close I began to second guess my decision. It is a FRIGHTENING thing!! Surgery is scary no matter what you are getting done - but to top it off it being something as drastic as having our stomachs partially removed completely and forever, that is CRAZY scary!! Here's what I'd like to see you do, take a deep breath, relax. Now, you have to seriously think about WHAT you are doing. Our surgeons do give us pre op diets for a reason, and that reason is to shrink our livers. They want us to have the safest surgery we can, and having a fatty liver isn't a good thing. They are slippery, large and hard to control. They are going to have to hold the liver out of the way to get to our stomach. Not only that, fatty liver is just plain bad to have. Its definitely better to take care of this now rather than later. Having surgery is taxing enough without having to worry about a shot out liver. Please do what you can to get back on track from here on. It does only take about 5 days to get the fat starting to move out of your liver. If you start now, I think you will be ok. However, I do recommend telling your Doctor that you have been cheating on your diet. Some Doctors will make you re schedule, but it is not to punish you. It is so they can give you the best chance at a safe surgery. This journey isn't for the faint of heart. You are going to really go through a lot both physically and mentally. You have to be ready to accept all those challenges for it to really work for you. Hugs!! You've come this far, you CAN DO IT! You absolutely MUST believe in yourself, and from where I'm standing you have what it takes... simply by reaching out for help here. If you need to talk my inbox is always open.
  4. That is the best approach so early out, measuring your portions. Your nerve endings have been cut and you will be a bit numb in your stomach. It would be hard to tell if you are over stuffing your sleeve and that can be a bit dangerous. Keep doing it, your doing a great job.
  5. Yes this is typical. I get that feeling too. Mine has changed over time though, it's not that crazy hurt in my esophagus feeling anymore. I actually feel real full again, just super fast. It took a lot to get me there pre sleeve! I think it was around one year out I began to notice my "full" was like my old full.
  6. Happy Birthday suggah!! Tomorrow will be a fun day for you! Good idea, put the candle in your SF Ice cream. I just have fun on my birthday, but I also was 3 months Post Op on my first BD post. Have a great day tomorrow.
  7. Libbe and Peacequeen, I am sooo happy to hear you are both recovering well! I will continue to pray for both of you. Xoxo
  8. Yay, thanks for the friend requests everyone! My plan is to make February work for me. I do intend to work off this belly fat. I guess since my lipos I've noticed it more and I look funny... well to me anyway. I just wanna be super hot this Summer!! The First through the Fifth of the month I do my bootcamp - then from there I just follow the sleever rules. Also, I will be working out every single day be it cardio or anaerobic but I will be doing something. I will pick back up with my running a lot more since that is the one thing I've noticed in all my workouts that works me out the best. Since I've had to stop, that might be the reason my belly is looking flabbier, but it sure is annoying me. I will be logging everything on MFP so you all call kick my butt if needed!!
  9. Hi! Yes, I had yogurt too on the bootcamp.
  10. Hi losin, first of all your dietician will never understand you completely unless she is actually sleeved herself. This is a very common issue with us, and I'm actually surprised she has not picked up on this. ??? Does she work with other WLS patients or are you the only one? Don't feel discouraged. Just know that what you are experiencing will not last forever. Our newly sleeved stomachs are extremely sensitive, especially with foods or supplements that are otherwise hard on our stomachs. Most don't realize this but Vitamins ARE very hard on our regular stomachs, so of course it will be a lot worse otherwise. I caution anyone taking them on an empty stomach. Try to take it in with a few sips of Protein shake. Even though you are cringing, you must push through it. You need your nourishment. Hugs and hang in there, it will pass. HTH
  11. LOL FYE... No biggie. Perhaps you can start a thread for those who eat more vegetarian style eating. I do think it deserves its own thread, simply because there aren't enough of them. Hugs darlin' and aye... thank you for the awesome compliment!!! Let me know where you place it so I can pin it for you.

  14. Congrats to you all!!! I have one signed up for next month. I doubt I will be able to run the whole thing, but I'm just ecstatic I will be running again period!
  15. Me personally I don't cook my veggies any way except steamed. But when I do cook with oils its always EVOO.
  16. Great news, thanks for checking in! Welcome to the losers bench!!
  17. Absolutely not, I was not saying that at all. We were drawing up our posts at the same time. I know you are a very supportive person here.
  18. Sorry I forgot to quote the Original poster... see what I mean?? LOL my quote was direct to and only to the original poster.
  19. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Welcome to the Century Club!! You're rockin your sleeve ... OH YEAHHH!!
  20. LOL very cute name!! I've been around awhile and thats the first time I've heard anyone name their sleevie Nanner... which as I think about it, seems so logical!! Best wishes and many prayers for a speedy recovery. You will do amazing!!! Remember this: It's always darkest before dawn. With that... GO GET YOURS!!!
  21. Well now, I would never "get on anyone" here. That's what this place is for, support - feedback... whatever. Now to answer your question... yes YOU should always fight to get to YOUR goal. Perhaps she is at HER goal. That's no ones business but hers. According to the BMI charts I'm still over weight. Should I even have to justify why I have no real plans to continue on? Just do you, don't worry about anyone else. It will make life a lot easier to get through, and someday you will see what I mean. It's all a part of this long long journey. Xoxo
  22. I think quoting someone in particular is actually a really effective way of getting a point across to the individual you are referencing. Sometimes when a thread is extremely long and I say something but don't quote who I'm talking to, its always a sure thing that the last person to post before me will think I'm talking to them... true story. :wink1:
  23. Perfectly honest... very very close. I had to have PS intervention to get this close, but I'm over the moon with my results. It's still hard to get it fully implanted in my brain that I'm done, but seriously every day gets better. It really is hard to imagine I'm done when I spent the last 6.5 years of my life trying VERY HARD to get here. In about 2 years time I will revisit and see if I want to get the skin removal surgeries. Until then I'll just work on maintaining what I have now and enjoy life.
