Great news I finally got my approval for the band! Yay! Obviously I didn't make it into the November group but my date is January 6. I pushed it back a bit because where I work we get new time at the first of the year and this way I can use vacation and not have to share what I am doing and have en entire week off. Hope everyone is doing well. I am very pleased to read the progress of everyone and cannot wait to join you on the road to success!

Hi All, Just checking in. So I didn't make it into the November bandsters. Would you believe my insurance company still has my case pending and the doctor submitted the paperwork at the end of October? I am losing hope! If they approve me I am looking at a December 30th date. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey ladies- So I was supposed to have my pre-registration at the hospital tomorrow but as of this afternoon Aetna still has my case as pending. It is very annoying but unfortunately I cannot give my job less than a weeks notice that I will be out so I will not be banded in November I spoke with my doctor's office and pushed my date back until the end of December when I will have more time so I can take an entire week off from work. I am kind of bummed but am still not sure if Aetna is going to approve me! I hope everyone is doing well and I intend to still follow your progress and be inspired by all of you!

Okay question. I am scheduled for banding on Wednesday the 27th for banding. I intend to return to work Monday Dec 2. I have a desk job no lifting. Is it too soon? I really don't want to tell my job so I did 't want to take too much time. For all who have been banded thus far could you gone in to work on day 5?

I got a call from the hospital to schedule my pre surgery registration for next week. It is really starting to feel real but I am not getting too excited because my insurance company still has my case as pending. Today is officially 2 weeks since submitted so I figured I would call today and see if I have been approved yet. Good luck to anyone getting banded this week!!

I am so excited to hear the great stories of successful bandings thus far! Fingers crossed I will get my approval this week from Aetna. If you all don't mind when sharing your progress I always love to hear how much weight people have lost because it is inspirational to me. I know it is too soon for those who were just banded this week but as the pounds melt off progress reports would be appreciated and I promise to report frequently as well LOL

So the woman at my doctor's office has yet to send my paperwork in to the insurance company for approval even though she told me 2 weeks ago it would be sent. I called today and she said it would be sent next week sometime because there are a lot of people ahead of me and my surgery isn't scheduled until Nov 27. Grrrr doesn't she realize I need more than just a few days to tell my job and prepare for the surgery? I am seriously irked by this! She also said Aetna takes about 2 weeks to decide. So I will not know until when? The week before? That doesn't work for me! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My doc submitted my paper work for banding this past week. I am hopeful I get approved. He doesn't think it should be an issue but I am weary. I am hoping for the best! If so I am scheduled to be banded the day before Turkey Day! I say no time like the present! Congrats to all with their approvals and dates. Looking forward to joining you!!
