  1. I have UHC, but my employer has chosen a plan that excludes bariatric surgery. It all depends on what your employer has chosen.
  2. I use My Fitness Pal and fitbit. They share data, so the only thing I have to log is what I eat. Of course I'm still a newbie and trying to keep track of everything.
  3. Good luck and best wishes tomorrow!
  4. Good luck and best wishes!
  5. Congrats to all of the October bandsters that have been banded...good luck to the rest of us still waiting to be! My turn is October 15th and I'm on my 6th day of the pre op diet. Last night was the first night I wasn't tempted by my daughters dinner. So excited for this to happen!
  6. I've told a few of my closest friends and my adult daughters. I've been lucky and received all positive reactions and support. I too have used this site for research and hearing from the people that have been through it.

Glad I found this post today. I went out and bought a fitbit flex. I get banded on the 15th. Getting all of my 'tools' ready to go! Thanks for all the info!

  10. Best wishes to all of us October Bandsters! Soon we will all be posting on the other side -- post op! Yay for us for being brave enough to do this...and lucky enough to have such an awesome support forum.
  11. Best wishes for tomorrow! Let us all know how it goes!
  12. So glad to hear you have a date! Exciting time for us!
  13. Thanks for the info! Best wishes to everyone on here!
  14. Congrats on starting your journey. I start my pre op diet on Oct 8th. Where did you buy your protein shakes? I've heard of the Unjury shakes and soup, but don't know where to find them.
  15. Congrats....the month will go by fast I bet.
  16. Just got my date today! October 15th. I start the pre-op diet on the 8th. I'm so ready to get this journey started!
  17. Thanks! I've seen some great inspirations here.
  18. Hi, I'm Sue. I found this forum and can't wait to be part of the group here. I've had an initial consultation at the weight loss center and I'm meeting with the surgeon on the 19th. I'm hoping to get a date for my banding set at that time. I've been reading everything I can find on the subject and I've found lots of useful advice here. I've got the support of my family and friends and now I can include the support I'll get here! Looking forward to getting to know others here. Sue
