  1. I was banded on the 15th. I had an over night stay at the surgical center.
  2. Welcome and best wishes on your big day!
  3. My gas pains have been going up through my collar bone. I'm 3 days post op and mostly over that gas. Still lots in my tummy though!
  4. I have 3 tats...a rose with the stem going through the skin at the top of my breast, a frog on my calf, and three flowers that represent my two daughters and my former step-daughter. No regrets on any of them. I plan to get another one when I reach goal. Hoping its before I turn 52
  5. The gas pains are from the gas they put in you to expand your insides so the doc can see where everything is. Sometimes there is some leftover gas in you and it goes up and then out through your shoulders. I'm 2 days post op and my gas is coming out through my collar bone area. A heating pad is very comforting for this pain. And congrats on the band!
  6. Welcome! This is an awesome group of folks. I too got my band yesterday. Worse part it the gas in my collar bone area. And how tried are you with the clear liquids? I get to go back to the protein shakes on Friday. Best wishes to you on this new journey.
  7. Best wishes to you on your surgery! Mine was yesterday and now I'm feeling the pain of the gas going up through my collar bone. Other than that I feel good. Hope you have a great support group. And as always, you've got us here on the forum!
  8. Congrats on the earlier surgery date! I'm not sure of brand name of the sf Popsicles, but I like the tropical flavors better than the standard cherry, grape and lime. Also Swanson makes some broths with flavors like tortilla soup, and hot and sour. I mixed the hot and sour with low sodium beef broth because otherwise it's really spicy! If your doc allows sf jello, grab some of that too.
  9. Thanks everyone. Things have been going great today. I've had ice chips, apple juice, and some jello.
  10. Just got to the surgery center. In my cap and gown. Can't believe the day has come already. See you guys on the other side
  11. Best wishes to you! I have about 14 hours till surgery!!
  12. Congrats! When is your surgery date? It will go by fast.
  13. The desani pineapple and coconut liquid drops in water taste just like a piña colada! A virgin one of course, but very tasty...
  14. Good luck! I bought the nutri bullet last week...love it! great to add a couple of strawberries or half a banana into the vanilla protein shakes. My surgery in in 2 days and on clear liquids now.
  15. Best wishes on getting a date soon!
  16. Oops, hope you don't mind I posted in the 'thirties' forum, since i'm not in my thirties! I just saw the post about being in the KC area!
  17. Dr Drahota is my surgeon. I get my band in less than 3 days on the 15th.
  18. Swanson makes a hot and sour broth. I mix is half and half with low sodium beef broth. Then I add 1 scoop of unflavored protein powder. Nice when I want to have something warm. I've had it a couple of times during my pre-op diet week. Has lots of sodium, so I'm limiting it.
  19. The fitbit is a band I wear on my wrist that tracks my steps, distance, activity minutes, calories burned and sleep. It's waterproof so I can wear it all the time.
