  1. ladiebird - 7 pounds??? OMG - thats amazing! Darcy, Betty - I was hoping to see the scale move for you two! Yeeaaaa - It did! Bigmom - -3 pounds??? My goodness, what are you people doing???? Kim - I had a 2 pound gain last week, so did Penni... dont get discouraged. It happens! Penni - no gripe from you, Miss 5K Runner. For me, not sure what to do. When I went to bed I weighed 203. When I woke up this morning I still weighed 203. I stepped off the scale and brushed my teeth then weighed again - then it was 201... I lost 2 pounds brushing my teeth? :cross-eye I think Im gonna change my scale battery and try again tomorrow morning.
  2. OK, now Im going to be paranoid to get in the sun. 2 months/no sun ???? Thank God I started this in the winter months!
  3. Joanie, I know what you mean. For about 2 weeks now, Ive been eating albacore tuna daily (with Lisa's lime receipe - yum!) Ive noticed that within this time frame that Ive become very irritable one minute/crying the next, major hairloss, so tired all of the time, and the lack of concentration is unbelivable! I told my hubby on Wed. that I thought I needed bloodwork cause I felt so horrible. THEN I find this out... maybe it is the tuna, maybe it isnt. But now Im aware.
  4. "I have a qustion for every one I'm not that great on the computer how do you post a front page post?" Im not sure what a front page post is, are you wanting to start a new thread?
  5. Jamie - You get a high-five Sis!
  6. Wade, awesome job! 4lbs in one week???? That should be against the law! ***just between us - whats your secret??? shhh, we dont have to tell the others***
  7. Mandy, everyone is different. You may or may not be able to eat a turkey hotdog after banding, it mostly has to do with the skin. And coleslaw is one of my no-no's. Everytime I eat cabbage, it gives me poblems - even when its chewed well
  8. In my little research, I found that if we consume no more than two 6oz cans of tuna a week, we should be fine. Also, the 4 different sites I read said the same thing - that albacore tuna has the highest mercury level, and chunk light tuna having the lowest mercury levels. Has nothing to do with tuna being bagged or canned - has to do with the type of fish.
  9. Hi public. Your article had me concerned, so I went and did a little research. This is what I found. What's very disturbing is to read the signs of mercury poison. Hairloss, loss of concentration, depression... never thought about it, but maybe its the tuna??? http://www.bluevoice.org/dolphin/hazards.html
  10. Yeeaaahh, Trish got an avator !!!! Look at you girl, soooo pretty!
  11. Thanks Kathy - Im one that missed it!
  12. Denise, Ive thought about that too. What did women do 200, 300, 400 years ago??? Trish (LOVE the new avator), Im jealous that you can use a cream hair remover on your upper lip. My chin and upper lip hairs are too coarse for the cream to work. Ive tried a couple of different kinds, none worked for me. So I just shave everything below my nose. All that plucking is so time consuming! Must say though - this laser treatment did the trick. I havent shaved in a week. But the best part is - NO black roots!!!
  13. Hi Michelle, Im just now re-reading this thread and noticed your question. Sorry for not catching it sooner! Do I drink alot of coffee? Yes. Usually 3 cups in the morning, and some days a Cappuccino in mid afternoon. I know, I know... NOT good for reflux!
  14. bumping for Carey

  16. :ermm Gosh, how discouraging is that... hang in there though! If you pay cash, things should happen rather quickly. Keep us posted. What surgeon are you trying to see?
  17. Because I am so self-conscience about this issue, I wanted to share this thought with those of you that may also be imbarrassed with this... I remember complaining to my OBGYN years ago about this problem. He said that most dark haired women have facial hair... some more, some less. He couldnt explain why. He said that his wife was dark haired (Spanish decent) and had excess facial and body hair. I thought that was interesting! As I was re-reading all of our post, I noticed that those of us that had pics were all dark haired!!! Penni... I am VERY pleased with the outcome of this second treatment!!! I cant stress that enough. Definately recommend it!
  18. I just wanted to update my experience.... 2 1/2 weeks later and my chin area is nearly hair free. No black roots either! No redness, no swelling, still a little tender in spots... the good far out weighs the bad. NOW Im excited about this.
  19. Ryan, that was such a beautiful story... wow! Kathy, thats cute! Everytime you visit her grave, you will be reminded of this... sweet story!
  20. ok Theresa... we need some Birthday photos!!!!! Come on, time for updates to show off that awesome weight loss!!! (almost -100 pounds)

Leatha!!!(standing with my hands on my hips) who is 'the Nuge'??? Do tell!!! great thread idea!!! Away from LBT, Im a mother of 3 small kids and 1 adult man.... the man being the hardest to raise!
  23. Betty, Ive seen it in the fridge at the check-out counters... havent been brave enough to try it though! Something about cold coffee just sounds a little... well, yucky .
