Good luck with your surgery Andrea. You'll do great. Everybody is a little nervous, that is normal. Whe I had my surgery, they gave me a "calmer downer", I literally don't remember anything after that. I guess I was pretty calm (lol). This surgery is so worth it. Let us know how you are doing!!!!

At my office it seems to be a marathon food fest everyday. Has anyone ever tried the diet coke cupcakes. They are quite yummy. The entire recipe is a box of cake mix and a can of diet coke (not diet pepsi...too much fizz). That's it. My sister said on weight watchers they are 1 pt. You can add fat free cool whip as a topping. I told the office I would bring those in one day. I believe we can have diet coke......when we bake with it. Correct me if I am wrong.

I wouldn't hold my breath for those bra pictures!!! My bras really weren't doing much Donali. They actually looked ridiculous. I have all different sizes since my weight has yo-yo'd for years. 46 was what i was wearing when I was banded.

:banana :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana I was at the outlet mall and decided to go and buy a new bra. This might be more info then you really want to know, but I went from a size 46 bra to a 38. I can't even remember when I wore a 38. At least 20 years ago. Just wanted to share my NSV.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. My husband did not want me to have the surgery. I have had numerous surgery over the last 6 years because of medical problems and also I don't think he really understood how difficult it is for us to lose weight. He always told me to just stop eating so much. Duh.....if I could do that, I would not be obese. I had my surgery on 3/17/04 and I have lost 48-1/2 pounds. I am happy to say that my husband now thinks that was the best thing I ever did. I'm sure your husband will come around. He is probably just scared for you. Good luck with your surgery.

Good luck with your surgery Maurice. I am not allowed to swallow pills that are large, but my blood pressure meds are small pills so I am allowed to take them. I also take a multivitamin that is small. I guess your doctor will tell you if you can swallow pills after surgery. Take care!

The time will fly by Ryan. Before you know it you will be banded. All that pre-op testing can keep you mighty busy. It's gonna be turkey soup for you.

Way to go Penni. You must be on cloud nine. I would have bought every color also. That is a great NSV. So...when is your next shopping trip for clothes.

I'm glad you are asking this question, because I was thinking the same thing. When my doctor is accessing my port he is always accessing the port below my waist but when I sit or stand up, I feel the port in the middle of my mid section - above the waist. I am curious to see what everyone has to say to your question.

Good luck with your fill. I have to wait 3 weeks to get my fill back since I will be away for two weeks. I have absolutely no restruiction now and it scares me. I can eat anything.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Jen. Happy belated birthday also.

I got good news today at my endoscopy appt. The band is not eroding. He said he was check for erosion and whether the band was pressing on my esphogus. Both were negative. I am soooo soooo happy. The only thing he kept telling me and my husband was that he would not take the band out now but that they would have to "play' with it a bit. He was not sure if the band is in the correct spot at this point since he was looking from the inside. He said he could see the restriction of the band on the inside of the stomach. He thought maybe the band needs to be repositioned. The last time I talked to my surgeon (a week ago) he said the band was on an angle with part of the band higher than the other part. Is this normal? I thought the bands were placed pretty straight or as straight as they could possibly put it. Does anyone think the band started to slip? I placed a call to my surgeon's office earlier this afternoon, so I will see what he says. Maybe they will actually let me eat something that requires teeth to chew.

Thank everyone for the good wishes and to Leatha for the graphics. Haven't talked to my dr yet (we keep missing each other) but by the graphic it looks like the band is definitely on an angle. Makes me feel a lot better. Still on liquids though....blah

Alex, what a nice thing for your uncle to do. He sounds so nice. You do look amazing in your pictures. Your uncle must be so proud of you.

Yesterday is over and done with and now you are back on track. Don't get yourself sick over this. I bet a lot of us have been there, i know I have. You are doing the right thing. Hope you are feeling better.

Hi Darcy, I think you should call your primary care physician and see what he says. Have you had any problems in the past with the band? I hope you get an answer soon.
