I feel like I've done about 9,000 crunches. Also, im still pretty bloated despite walking like a maniac.

    STL sleeve scheduled 9/25

Update!! Surgery yesterday. Still in the hospital waiting to hear if I can be discharged. Little tip...ask for a scopolamine patch prior to surgery. I've never been sensitive to sedation, but holy moly!! I started dry heaving the minute I woke up and didn't stop for 12 hours. The pain wasn't terrible, but dry heaving didn't help any. An hour after the patch was placed, the heaving stopped. The nurses said they could have put a patch on during surgery to help. I suggest everyone ask for it. It was a pretty miserable day yesterday. Today....MUCH better!!! So surreal I've actually had surgery!

    STL sleeve scheduled 9/25

Ladies, I get sleeved tomorrow and have been extremely nervous. (Normal....I know) Like so many here, I hate shopping and tend to wear the same few outfits that I feel comfortable in. My closest friend is just about the complete opposite of me. 5'10, blonde, 135, and legs for days. I CAN NOT WAIT to be about to go to Nordstrum Rack or J.Crew with her! Hearing your stories has given me butterflies and I am PUMPED for tomorrow instead of scared! Thanks Gals!!

So excited to find other St. Louis peeps on here!!! I'm getting sleeved Tuesday (sept 24) by Dr. Morales. I'm 3 days into my liquid diet and instead of being miserable like I thought I would be, I'm beyond excited about this new chapter. I, of course, am also scared to death, but after reading about a gazillion posts on here, I think that's pretty normal. St. Louis is about to get a whole lot sassier!! Congrats Ladies....and Gents if there are any on this thread.

    Is this real life?!?

Epic.....we are in the exact same frame of mind!
  11. I start my presurgery liquid diet tomorrow for a week. I cannot believe in 1 short week, my life is going to change completely! I've been prepping, preparing, and DREAMING about this for years!!! However, as excited as I am, I'm finding myself equally nervous and scared. I know I'm not alone in this. Any words of advice from the "pros" who have gone through this on how to calm the nerves? I'm feeling a bit like Rapunzel in Tangled where she goes through intense happiness to extreme panic. Help a girl out!
  12. I'm having the sleeve on sept 24. I had already scheduled my family coming up to visit (4 hours away) for my birthday and housewarming gathering months before I got my surgery date. They are planning in being in town for the weekend if sept 27th. At 3 days post-op, were you in any pain? I've already warned them I may be moody, but now I'm concerned I will be hurting too.
