  1. At this point the incision does not itch much' date=' it really hasn't. But there are odd pockets of numbness right next to areas that seem more sensitive than ever. It's a weird feeling.

And, since I've owned this house, I've never put a roll on the roller thingie. I hate the roller thingies. I like the roll in my hand. That's how I roll.[/quote']

How long since weight loss surgery did you have to wait for th ?

  2. If you plan on getting disability you will need to tell your manager because you will need to get paperwork from him. You are not allowed to lift anything over 10 pounds for 4 weeks either. I work at a daycare so I regularly are picking children up' date=' moving things and getting tackled and my doctor made me take off 5 weeks.[/quote']

    I'm off 7weeks post op I return September 16.

  3. I have blue cross blue shield Federal' date=' Basic Option. Can anyone explain what out of pocket expenses are? It says mine are 5000. In the explanation of benefits it says I will pay 150 admission fee/surgeon fee & 150 per night I'm there (2 nights) we have no deductible with basic option so I'm curious how the out of pocket comes into play or does it? I was reading the explanation of benefits like I would only pay the 450 total.[/quote']

Out of pocket example if your surgery is $30,000 & your insurance pays 90% then you only would owe $3,000plus your deductible of $450.

  4. I have Aetna and was approved. I also had a co-worker who had the bypass and had major complications and insurance covered that and her skin removal' date=' lift, or whatever she had done with it. She was my go-to person when I decided to take my first steps to do this a year ago. I asked her a lot since I knew she had the same insurance and everything. I don't think you'll have anything to worry about![/quote']

I have Aetna also great news

  5. So' date=' I'm having lunch with a friend and as we are leaving a nice looking guy come over and and says to me "wow your hawt for a fat girl!!!and asked me for my number. I told him that he so disrespectful and needs to take his no good no class raggedy ass out of my face. My skinny friend thinks I was wrong because he was really cute and gave me a compliment and I'm being over sensitive. Am I ??? Isn't that like saying youd be pretty if you weren't fat .[/quote']

You were right to say that & if it were me I would have slapped him good &hard. Non the less woman are just as bad @saying stuff also, don't let anyone bring you down I work in a LARGE factory &ppl have lost respect when learning how to be social ...

  6. Ok so in February I decided to get sleeved so I wet to the doc had all the tests and in the end my insurance denied me the surgery. So I asked my primary doc to write an appeal letter for me and she did. I got the approval letter on Saturday!!!

Today the surgery center called and they said they have a spot open next monday!!

So I went from feeling so depressed thinking I wasn't going to get this surgery to WOW!!! Next Monday is the day!!! My prayers have been answered! I'm so excited!

that's my fear , being denied after all appts

  7. Hi all!!

I'm set to be Sleeved on June 21st. This may be TMI' date=' but I'm kind of a sex addict. And my biggest thing is I like it a lil kinky and rough. My question is, how long after being sleeved is it safe to jump back into to sack???[/quote']

The best sex after surgery is a BOB (battery operated boyfriend)so you don't over due things & then you always have a spare pleaser @hand..

  8. Oh I'm enjoying it!! My husband hasn't been able to pick me up in 10 years. I still feel in my head that I way 300 lbs. I'm not used to it yet. Lol

SEX IS THE BEST EXERCISE BECAUSE OF THE MUSCLE WE BUILD INTERNALLY & BURNING CALORIES FROM SWEATING BEST WORKOUT EVER I THINK...

  9. A lot of us men are over 35 and it no longer works for us to do long cardio or eat like a bird to get that Athletic build of a 25 year old. Long cardio just does not work and actually may increase the dreaded fat layer over the abs due to stressing the body from caloric deficits. I have been looking around for exercises that are really good for us as our t levels naturally are decreasing. My diet is fine as is the supplementation I am on.

Every time I run an hour and burn 1000+ calories' date=' it seems like I lose some lean muscle that I worked hard to gain previously from lifting. It makes me think that cardio is much better for the WLS weight loss phase ( leaning out the fat) , but not for the maintain phase (building up the lean muscle). I am tempted to cut way back on running and increase exercises that combine cardio benefits with strength training from body weight or light weight (10 lb barbells) exercises.

I will continue to use cross fit as my primary HIIT and strength training of choice. Cross fit is really helping me, but I only do it 2 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday). I have been running Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. I like to run and do about 10 k every running day, but it is not helping my desire to build a body like a boxer. Have any of you done any programs that specifically target men over 35?

    What are your thoughts?

Women are welcome to respond, but be aware the answers should target specifically men over 35.

  10. Can't distinguish when I'm full til i feel like im going to hurl. Having a rough time with getting my Protein in. 4 days after surgery I had a gout flare up in my left knee and foot that landed me bed fast for 3 weeks because I couldn't walk. I'm doing better now though. I am 60 pounds less but I haven't weighed myself for a couple weeks. Starting to walk now so I'm sure that's helping. Good luck with your process!

My husband takes uloric &collects both daily for gout finally a arthritis specialist put him on these meds together, his kidneys are@ 60 percent functioning . This is after removal of big toe &'re attachment & now able to get his Protein in w/barracks of gout, talk to it dr about this medicine we went to Vanderbilt university in Nashville for best dr . He now eats normal amounts of protein &even Protein shakes.
