    PCOS with the Sleeve

Ok, I do have PCOS... HOWEVER, I have been pregnant 3 times.....2 before surgery, one after lapband, and I got sleeved in March 2017.....thats my "disclosure" statement. I had 12 years between my last 2 pregnancies so, it may have been PCOS, but I don't know. Now, what I want to let you know is that my symptoms since my sleeve in March 2017 have dropped dramatically. My hair....face, body, yuck etc. and acne have radically decreased. My periods are monthly now......Yay...... [emoji55]......and I have dropped 70lbs so far. I definitely feel like my surgery has had a dramatic impact on my PCOS. My last Dr visit, my blood pressure was 100 over 60.....I usually run kind of low, but have noticed a drop since the surgery. I know my weight loss has been a factor. I hope in some way this may help you out! Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app

Vitamins and Proteins... what are your go-to's?

Sample some first. Some are HORRIBLE . All tastebuds are different too. I like Bariatric Fusion chews berry flavor, but I know people who gagged when trying them. I got mine on Amazon after sampling them at my NUT appointment. Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app

Horrible Pain in mouth and throat

I had painful spasms in the back of the roof of my mouth after being sleeved. But it didn't hurt until days after the surgery. Freaked me out because it did not feel like something had rubbed or irritated my throat. It just went away on its own though. Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Popcorn

When is it safe to eat popcorn? I'm not asking what calories or fat etc. Just when can a sleeved stomach safely digest popcorn. Because of the hard parts etc.

Do we eat 4oz of food as in fill 1/2 cup with food and eat or as in weigh 4oz on food scale? I'm sleeved btw

Did you have WLS? The audacity of some.

I was at a GNC looking for protein shakes and the store worker just randomly recommended that a lot of bariatric patients use these shakes/vitamins.....I didn't say sh*t to her except where are the protein shakes. Embarrassing! Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. My vote is for the Guatemala bug.....caramels could cause dumping syndrome if you eat a lot but I don't think it applies when you are so far out from your surgery. Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Drain tube post sleeve

Why is there a drain for the sleeve? I thought it was only used for plastic surgery type operations. Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm hungry 6 days out vsg

This is the worst part. Creamy strained soups with protein powders were life savers for me. But be sure to strain it. I couldn't trust putting a piece of chewable food in my mouth and not eating it. Sent from my SM-J327P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Login problems

Lately BP has intermittently not let me login. It also doesn't send me an email to change my password......I KNOW my password and dont need to change it, but I don't know what else to do at that point. I am magically logged in now again but its annoying to have to uninstall the app and reinstall it multiple times just to login.

    Best pjs for the hospital?

Just remember the IV will be in your arm so short sleeved. Also robes cant go on IV arm so maybe a poncho style or something that you can drape. I used the hospital gown and brought a comfy robe to cover my back but only had one sleeve on and one side hanging on my shoulder. Annoying

    Bridesmaid dress...

I was told by my "tailor???" for my wedding dress that they can take in 2 sizes without seriously altering the appearance. Obviously different materials/necklines/ styles might vary this but thats what I was told by the....wedding dress people. Lol. Probably the only dress Ive worn in 15 years. Sorry if my lingo is off.
