  1. You just commented on someone else's topic to "throw away the scale"...maybe you should take your own advice? LOL

I know it is super frustrating to see the scale go up...I base my success on the inches I am losing. I measure religiously every two weeks. It helps keep me motivated to see the inches lost.

Yeah I'm TERRIBLE at following my own advice lol but I haven't weighed myself since my last fill, that was about 2 weeks ago. I will weigh myself at the dr today.

  2. I am 6 weeks post op. During the pre op diet, I lost 17 pounds. Since then, I feel like (and according to my mom, look like) I have lost inches but gained 3 pounds. I don't understand? I have an appointment today to discuss this terrible port site pain I've gotten the last few days.

  3. Don't weigh yourself! Weight loss can be measured in other ways like inches, how your clothes fit etc. also, you only lose about 1-2 lbs a week. Sometimes you'll gain a pound or trip just because of Water retention. Throw the scale in the closet and don't focus on the number.Good luck on your journey and try not to become too frustrated!

  4. And I feel amazing!! But I'm almost worried that I feel so great do soon after surgery. I see that others are still struggling at this point and I feel like there is something wrong with me. Yeah I'm not 100% but I'd say I'm in the 90 percent. Gah

  5. So I have always had a problem with bowel movements. I get constipated really really easily. I haven't had a bowl movement since before my surgery. (I am 5 days post op) Is it okay to take some stool softeners/laxatives? If so, how many should I take? Before surgery I would have to take up to 7 capsules to even budge a little bit. I'm really scared to take too many.

  6. Today is day 4 for me too!! I am feeling the same also. I didn't see any info about you or your journey so far. Since we're pretty much on the same timeline i'd really like to follow your story.

    Best of luck!!

Same to you!! I have lost 17.6 pond since I Started my pre op diet. I can Larry on my belly now too. I feel the port but it doesn't tug as bad at out did. You??

  7. My doctor said if it doesn't hurt' date=' go for it. I didn't have any time restriction so I think I was about 1 week post op. It didn't hurt (felt pretty good actually.... :D ). So my opinion is go for it.[/quote']

Did you find a certain position more comfortable than the rest? You don't have to answer if it makes you uncomfortable!

  8. This morning I woke with a tiny bit of annoying shoulder pain but only because I slept wrong. Today I am able to lay on my side and my tummy without any gas pain at all!! I coughed this morning and it wasn't very bad and I'm able to laugh without a pillow over my stomach/port area. I am walking faster and feel great! These may seem little but they are HUGE to me. :-)

  9. I'm sorry to ask so many personal questions but I'm just really curious. I'm 4 days post op and my boyfriend and I have our one year anniversary in 19 days and I was wondering: How long did you ladies wait before you had sex? Is 3 weeks is enough time? Is Did it hurt? What positions did you find the most comfortable?

  10. We waited 4 days post op. We were careful and gentle. Now at 2 weeks post op...totally normal. Just go slow till you know how you feel

Was there any pain when you did it that soon after? I want to but I'm nervous that it'll hurt or what position would be most comfortable?
