I actually vomit instead of PB, I was doing this quite often but after getting a piece of fish stuck for about 6 hours I have relooked at paying attention to what I am eating and stopping the second I get the feeling I am getting to full. I have not told many people that I had the surgery and I think I was trying to "pass" I ate out and just ate less. But it was to much and I usually ended up in the bathroom. I have desided not to eat in public and am feeling much better. I now have a 3rd fill and am eating alot less and starting to lose weight. No vomiting I am listening to my body.


  2. I like to think about my weight loss of .25 of a pound as a stick of butter.( I have to look at small amounts). I visualize my pants under the top button and how nice it would feel to be smaller by just a stick of butter.

    Or I have went to the grocery store and picked up a 20 pound bag of potatoes and just walk around that section for a few minutes. Makes you feel pretty good.


  3. I just had a 2 1/2 pound loss and thought I would share this with you. In the last week I desided to try something that worked 10 years ago. I went on the Atkins induction diet for 4 days then did a liquid diet for one day, I used fruit juices. I just got a fill yesterday and I am back on fruit juices for at least another day. I haven't lost any weight for over two months so this is a really big loss for me. Hope this helps any of you that may be struggling as I am. I hope to be able to continue losing!


  4. I had a crazy thing happen last weekend. I ate about 3 or 4 oz. of Halibut and felt full. About 10 minutes later I started to feel like I couldn't swallow my own spit. I ended up having alot of pain in my stomach and throwing up for about 6 hours, all the while spitting spit.

    I guess it got caught and couldn't go through and all the liquid that would acumulate had to come up. Finally it must of moved through and I was able to fall asleep.


  5. I just went through my closit and I took out all my size 18 things and put them into another closit. No one else has noticed that I have lost weight but me. (I am a closit bandster) He He. I had size 18 that I was wearing, I have size 16 that I am just fitting into and another closit of 12-14's. They take up so much room it will feel great to clean closits in about 6 more months (because I lose so slow.)


  6. Oh I think I am the slowest loser yet......... 21 pounds since April 5th.

    I would like to be part of the group, maybe we can help each other with what does work instead of what doesn't work. This week I am doing a colon cleanse, it is to clean out your intestines and flatten your stomach. I am into the 4th day and my stomach does look smaller today. I have not been on the scales but the paperwork on this says you should lose about 5 pounds and have a really clean colon. Ha Ha I will let you know how this works.


  7. I would say anti depressants have caused alot of my weight issues, and may be one of the reasons I have been such a slow loser. But I feel alot better taking them than without them, I have been depressed most of my life. On the other hand I am now 21 pounds lighter and feeling alot better about myself.


  8. Kathy..... I thought I was to tight but after eliminating these foods I seems to be able to eat more. I have a weeks vacation scheduled for the first week in November and didn't want to be miserable if I get alittle to much of a fill. I will get in and get another fill as soon as I can after that. I have had two fills and then had to get an unfill. I didn't ask how much he took out.


  9. It me here..... the slowest loser out there. I have just come off a plateau of about 2 months and have lost 2 pounds in the last week. I have been reading on another site and read the notes of a 100 pound loser. She said she had to come to terms with the fact that she would never ever be able to eat chicken, bread or potatoes but has learned to live with it. That really hit home for me, for me I just needed to add to that same list no spicy foods or dry meat of any kind. I had been trying to eat these foods and throwing up all the time. I guess my head was just telling me that nothing had happened to my body. For the last week I have eliminated these things and really tried to eat smaller portions. So I have lost 2 pounds, that may not sound like a lot to you but to me it is alot.I have only lost 21 pounds since April. I spend alot of time this last weekend doing odd jobs around my yard and home getting ready for the winter season and did alot of thinking. I guess I have been alot more depressed that I thought. I had been wondering if I had spent alot of money on another thing that didn't work. I am feeling now like it will work I just need to work on portion size. I am going on vacation the first week in November and then will get another appt. for a fill. Hope to lose more after that. Great to hear from all you April Bandsters.


  10. The cruises I have been on have had alot of food. But it is your choice. You can eat in the dining room or at a buffet where you can make good choices. As far as feeling ok, you will do ok if you don't have any complications. I would think being able to sit in the sun and people taking care of you would work out great. Where are you going? I returned to work in 5 days and was a little tired for a few days. Sounds like a great plan to me.
