  3. This is one of the funniest things ever!!! It is such a good idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I will definitely be getting it checked out. I don't eat fatty food very often, so I don't know about that. Sometimes it comes on when I am riding my bike and it hurts soooooooooooooo bad I have to get off my bike and bend over my bike and kinda push my seat into my stomach....its a weird picture I'm sure.... Which Muddy Buddy you going to do 2 B??? Chicago???? Yes, join in on the fun of getting off 18 pounds by the 6th of October!!!!!!! One and all, come and join us!!! We did NOT ride tonight, but went and signed on a new boat...well, not new, but new to us....man, I am going extra tomorrow night...
  5. Rule #1.....NEVER, NEVER change your ticker to go up....ONLY down!!! This is a firm rule!!!!! scale Detox classes starting this week........that was too funny!!!! I used to not weigh except when going to the doctor, now I weigh way too much, and it is getting to be a bad bad bad thing. I know this, and am breaking the habit......
  6. Here is a trick I learned in the ER after I had my band about a week and went to the ER because the pain was so bad I thought it was a blood clot in my lung. Get down on all fours...CAREFULLY IF NEWLY BANDED....low head and chest down to floor, use a pillow to support stomach, leave butt up in the air. The gas works it way out. I still do this to this day if I get all gassed up. It still works...good luck
  7. TG, come to the thread called Personal challenge between HP and D!!!
  8. Yes come join us on the other challenge thread.....it should be fun.... You are tall....I think that 185 would be a very good starting goal and the to see if you want to go lower. That is kinda what I am doing. My goal is 170....the doctor of course is 150....but I think maybe 159 might end up being my final goal....
  9. awe, thanks!!! I will take younger too!!!!!
  10. My doctor prescribed Phentermine to me awhile before my banding. He gave me a really low dose, so as not to get addicted to it he said. The first week, it seemed like it worked and then after that, it did not work at all. I stopped taking after two weeks.
  11. You definitely have had your share of surgerys this summer....bless your heart!!!! You just heal up now and next summer you will be out there doing Muddy Buddy Boulder!!!!
  12. I noticed today that my BMI is 30.9 and overweight is 29.9 I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!! I am going to be just overweight and not obese anymore.....YIPPEEEE... I remember reading a post op note from a surgery I had in 2005 and the surgeon put morbidly obese.....I was appauled!!!!!!! How could anyone say that?????? I can remember crying after reading that!!!! That made me sick to my stomach that someone would think that about me, although I didn't realize it was the BMI she was referring to, it might as well of read, "This big fat lazy pig of a lady"!!! Now, I will never have to see morbidly, or even obese again!!!!!!
  13. Aweeeeeeeeeee, Gail, I am happy that I made you cry!!!! LOL...thats a good thing!!!! Great, I soooooooooooooooooooo glad that you are an exerciser!!! It makes such a difference in the whole process!!!!You have done awesome with your weight loss!!!!!!!!! You go girl!!! I started riding heavy as did Traci...I was between 250-260 when I started riding....but let me tell you, it is a lot easier getting 197 pounds down the road then 250 pounds!!!! I hope we do inspire you to try cycling...it is a great sport and you burn a ton of calories doing it!!!
  14. EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really and truly, exercise...moving your body and burning calories. Building muscle to burn fat throughout the day and while sleeping. Its amazing what exercise will do for you!!! BUT, you have to find something that works for you!!! Something that you love, and want to do, and don't feel like you HAVE to do it. That is the key!!! Try lots of different things until you find the one thing that calls your name and you do it for the fun of it. I walked, jogged, swam, biked.....roller bladed, I just loved biking the most. I have bought 5 bikes this last year alone for myself...started with a el cheapo from Kmart...went to a sport comfy from Local Bike shop (LBS),when I worked my way up to riding 20+ miles at a time, I got a road bike......since I live in Idaho we have lots of mountain dirt trails, so I got a mountain bike too. Then I traded my low end road bike for a middle range bike that is specific to women and love love love it!!!!!! We now ride about 130 miles a week and I don't do it for exercise at all anymore, it is just what I love to do!! Good luck with finding something that you love to do, it takes time to figure it out, so don't give up!!
  15. scale is put away, so I can bring it out on Mondays for the next eight weeks. I, Deanna, promise not to get on the scale until Mondays, to weigh for the eight week challenge. I have to weigh in at my clinic on the 21st of August, which is a Thursday, but that will be the only time other than the appointed time on Monday morning to weigh in. Wow, now its official...a contract and everything.....lol
  16. K, lets put the scales up....somewhere out of reach...I have been weighing every morning too and I hate it....I am putting mine up right now!!!
  17. Long, that is so funny we all had the same stats!!! Hey what were your symptoms that you had about your gallbladder???? I think I am having some issues with mine...
  18. Glad to see you guys all enjoy biking. Personally, I think it is the great thing ever!!!
  19. I just realized I am almost overweight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooooooooooooo stinkin' happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Gail, you are more than welcome to join us!!! What do you do for exercise???? Traci and I are cyclists....we just love to ride our bikes!!
  21. I totally agree with everything that Traci said...talk to your Local Bike Shop..they will have a variety of seats. We love biking, Traci and I, and you should come join us on the bycyling thread!!!!(It is spelled like that from the person who originally started the thread over a year ago)....we are a friendly bunch who like new comers!!! Good luck with finding a seat and hope to talk to you soon!!!
  22. When is your weigh day HP??? I will weigh Monday mornings I guess since that is today.... I think another good thing to do would to be NOT to weigh everyday but challenge ourselves to weigh only the one time a week!!!! What do you think??? IT will be hard, be we can do it!!
  23. K Traci, I set up a new thread for this challenge between us. I knew you would do it so I didn't wait for a yes!!!!! LOL......This is gonna be soooooooooooooooo much fun and good for us...
  24. Ok Traci, here we go... 2.25 pound a week until October 6th.... As of today, August 11th, I weigh 197...next week at this time I need to weigh 194.75....but my scale does not weigh in decimals...so I need to weigh 195.
  25. First off, read Warning:Disgusting Revenge on the general lap band thread...totally gross and hilarious!!! HP, ok 18 pounds by Oct 6th is ......8 weeks...totally doable...now I am gonna put a little push on you here...I am going to lose 18 pounds by Oct 6th too.....its a challenge!!!! Its you and me girl!!! You up for it???? Lets see...we need to lose 2.25 pounds a week for this to work....totally doable....I am going to set up a seperate thread for this challenge between us so we can keep track of everything...k?
