  1. Nursinggal...everytime I see that picture of the lady laying on the floor with the scale on top of her feet I just start chuckling to myself. It is SOOOO cute!!
  2. I am sooooooooooooo glad the hog feed that the Fourth of July is, is over!!!!! I has a blast up until the time to eat then it all hits me!!!! Then everyone acts like it is their last supper and start shoving food in their mouths until they have a look of pain on their faces!!!! Going back in the line two, three sometimes four times!!!!!!!! GOD, it gets old watching this!!!!! My family and extended family went to the resevoir and pulled kids around on the tubes all day!!! I didn't drink enough and just wanted to drink my dinner, but knew I had better eat something, so I had a small amount and didn't even eat that!!! Makes me sick to watch the amount of food people mindlessly shove in their mouths and the QUALITY of that food.

  4. ooopppssss...hit post too soon I love the idea of being going next semester over 50 pounds lighter!!!! It is going to be great!!!
  5. I know at 37 it is a challenge but I have a 3.9 GPA...which when I was 19 and going to college I would of NEVER got and didn't. So, I am much more focused and loving it actually. I love the career choice and love the idea
  6. OH my...50 miles????????????/ JC what are you trying to do kill us all here???? WOW..so impressed....are your legs still working after all that and THEN walking jogging???? Juli, I love it...23 miles....so maybe when you and girlfriend are together and enjoying each others company and the open road, she won't really notice the longer ride as much and you can go farther.....It always helps to have someone else to motivate you as you ride, so that might work. I had a Schwinn Hybird and love it til I got to riding 10 miles a night then I got a little bit better bike. I it still a hybrid but handles and feels so much better. Juli, I am doing better on the hills, and I think that I finally am getting some lung capacity built up, last bike trip I went up big hill and could talk at the top, usually can't talk for several minutes...so I think that is a good thing.
  7. Welcome to all the new people to the thread!!! JC...Idaho to Florida...hmmmm ...how long you think THAT would take???? Better start NOW!!! Deanna
  8. I am in Pocatello. I am going to school now for medical assisting. Three more semesters left...
  9. Thanks everyone for posting...I love all the different ideas and things everyone does. Sometimes you just don't think about all of the options out there....it all sounds fun...
  10. I think if you look at before and after pictures of lap banders and then by passers...you can see a difference in the way they look. Yes, they both have lost weight, but one group looks healthy, their faces are not sucken in and don't have a gray color to them. I think we all know what group looks like this. I don't see by passers as looking healthy at all!!! Lap band patients lose slower, so what....who wants to lose all that weight and then gain it again. I would rather lose it slower and keep it off forever. I have a friend who is a by passer who is now wanting lap band because of the weight she has gained. Do your research and then choose what you want done.
  11. I agree green, NOONE likes being fat, even if they tell you they do!! Most people are at a loss, like green said also, as to what to do with their weight so they don't do anything. Its a sad world but one that I am much happier in getting skinny and in shape. I think it is the getting into shape part that is better that just losing weight. I can feel muscles and SEE muscles and that is a big turn on to me, seeing muscles!!!
  12. Oh that is just great. The first time I went out I think I might have gone two miles and thought I was going to die!!! Juli is so right, little pieces put together, equal lots of success!!!! I started out with a 7 speed and ended up upgrading in a month....so glad I did, we live in a hilly area. I don't think there is one road in my area that is flat without some kind of incline to it. That makes the workout so much better though. Congrats to all who are just starting biking and those who are going to start!!! Good luck and be safe.
  13. Thanks for the recipe. Do you know if you can cut the oil down to less the 1/3 of a cup and it still is okay?
  14. I chose biking because that's what I do. I bike between 50 and 70 miles a week right now and am loving it!!!! Makes strong legs and butt muscles!!!
  15. I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone does for their cardio workout.
  16. hoosier, I know huh? I can't believe that I live to exercise now instead of live to eat!!! Its a great feeling though and I hope it NEVER goes away!!! I am a little concerned about this winter. What does everyone plan on doing in the winter time. This question is not for the ones who live down south and don't have an issure with weather...lol

  18. I have restriction at over 2 months out and have not had a fill. I feel restriction at every meal. I eat and then I get a full feeling and then I burp...and I know that is it!! NO more food for me. If I do eat more, I get a really heavy tight feeling in tummy that is not how I want to feel, so I don't do that very often. My fill RN is not willing to give me a fill until I stop losing weight so fast, so until then I am unfilled and restricted. Oh there is head hunger, but not real hunger problems. Good luck to you!!
  19. I had surgery on Thursday and by Saturday was only taking Tylenol and not much of that even. I have a very high tolerance for pain though, so not all people are like that. When I complain of a pain, it damn well hurts and it not just an annoyance thing. Good luck and you will do fine!! You are almost in band land!!!
  20. I am sick of not feeling like I can go the ER or to the doctor because I won't be able to pay for the bill, but the medicaid patients can go and see the doctor any old time they want and DO!!! I am talking about the medicaid welfare horders who work there way around the system to get what they want and I pay up the ass in premiums and still have the shittest insurance out there. Make too much money to get medical cards, but don't make enough to pay huge doctor bills. THIS WHOLE THING SUCKS!!!!
  21. Hey I just saw you are in Idaho too!!!! How cool is that? You have done so well with your weight loss....GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you are back in the saddle again soon...
  22. Oh Juli, you ARE Forest Gump, silly girl!!!! Listen to Juli, she is awesome and knows of what she speaks of. LOL.....she is also my shadow...so I have to love her!!!!
  23. bumpin this up...this really is a great great thread!!!
  24. okay so I guess the new bicycle thread I tried to start was a COMPLETE and utter failure....so....now what...come on people, let's talk bikes...lol.
  25. I mean, I've forced 80lb off my body over the last 18 months, its smarter than I am, perhaps its figured out a way to react so that I dont starve to death? LOL...I love that Jachut....
