  1. J, are you saying your going to start posting like crazy??? Welcome to all the new faces to biking...this is great.... I will have to see if I can get a picture of the mountain pass although it is a twisty, long ride....I will try... So, is the 2100 the same as the 2.1?? I am confused. My mans road bike is a 1000, I do know that, and the one on layaway is a WSD 2.1
  2. I also can't wait to be able to see 130 pounds lost on my ticker....that will be one amazing day. I have this saying when I do a great accomplishment, like the other day with the mountain pass....I say to DH, that deserves a family size pizza....and then I talk about all the toppings I want on it, and then we laugh, knowing that will never happen again and knowing that I am glad it will never happen again..
  3. Oh man, I am really excited. The amount of miles I am putting in a week on this mans bike and the pain and suffering I am having because of it, I really can not wait until I get my bike. Did you get the 2.1 too? I can't remember what you said. I can't sleep so thought I would post and update my biking ticker to reflect the 33.03 miles done last night.
  4. Thanks Traci, how was your riding this weekend????? A new bike and a new jersey, what will people think??? LOL.... Oh, it is hot hot hot here....just weeks ago it was snowing and now it is hot....never happy
  5. Hello all, did a huge accomplishment this weekend. I rode to top of Crystal Summit. A HUGE mountain pass and I DID IT!! I cried for like 10 minutes. I could not believe it. That was one of my goals for this year and I did it. I also put my "creamsicle" on layaway. I love it and can't wait to get it out. Buffet, maybe you could take a change of clothes????
  6. Hi Brandy, that is so awesome that you are biking to work. Biking is a GREAT way to get in much needed exercise and then all of a sudden it just turns out to be fun and you want to do it all the time. I could never get tired of biking. It is such a stress reliver too. Traci is a great person to talk to about biking. Come join us on the other bicycling thread.
  7. I don't use anything except, I have started taking a banana and half way through eating that, and it helps a whole lot. All the potassium I guess. I read about it in a BICYCLING magazine article. I do like to drink some sort of sports drink, low cal of course, when it gets really really hot, for the electrolytes. Rode 38.07 miles yesterday and planning on doing a major mountain pass today. Good luck to you on the new roads HP!!! Texas you are being missed all over the boards I see!!! Come back soon!!! Have a great weekend everyone and don't take any spills!!
  8. We have not heard from her over on the bicycling thread either!!!! We are worried about her!!!
  9. I still can't believe that 8 razor blade cartridges costs 20 dollars. That is insane.
  10. LOL...sorry about the triple post....that is too funny!!!! I just spent 200 at the grocery store...what is up with that....I hate the grocery store...that is for a week too!! WHAT???? How much do you all spend?
  11. Lane Jane, I am not Juli, but YES, YES, YES biking is very good for fat loss... HP, what is endouruxx.???????
  12. LaneJane, I am not Juli, but YES
  13. LaneJane, I am not Juli, but yes
  14. LOL, five miles a night....NOW THAT IS FUNNY!!! I wonder if I thought back then that was going to be all I would ever do is five miles a night...that is sooooo funny
  15. LOL, HP, that is soooooo freakin funny.....I can remember trying to get up that little thing I was calling a hill....I climb mountains now!!!! LOL....I love biking.... Debi, welcome, I always wonder what people say when they see me coming down the road, but I don't really care anymore...I wear my tight riding shorts and tight jersey and don't really care...they can go jump in the lake for all I care....I know what I am doing, and I know they are driving in a car.... LOL...who is really the loser?? Not me..
  16. HP, you know I was kidding with you!!! I love you!! You are awesome. I can get on my bike in my garage and leave the house and ride my 30 miles and get back home on my bike. You, on the other hand, have to load them all up and then go. You are doing awesome and I was just playing the challenge bit up a little too much. Sorry if I hurt your feelings!!! Welcome to all the newbies of the bicycling thread!! I totally agree with all new bandsters should have to ride a bike after surgery. Its the best sport ever!!
  17. J, you are rocking that ticker....if you keep moving it, you will soon not weigh anything!!
  18. HP, I kinda thought that was the same bike you had.....is it not??
  19. Um, HP, I have something to tell you. I rode another 32.99 miles last nite. I am having way to much fun with this challenge. I love to win, just so you know. I am getting a fill today, so no riding tonight and tomorrow nite is skate night, so no riding tomorrow night either. Friday night though, watch out. Saturday morning is the Tour of Marsh Valley, I could do 100 miler then....hmmmmmmmmm....should I let you catch up??????
  20. Since this is a challenge HP, I rode to do some errands this afternoon and got another 4.3 miles. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, you MIGHT have to quit work and ride to keep up with me....LOL....just sayin'
  21. HP, I would seriously advise riding tonight. 100 miles at least. I am not going to take this challenge lightly. LOL....If you do a 100 and I do 100 I am still ahead......I like this kind of challenge....I am ahead before we start... I won't ride on Wednesday night, just to give you a chance to catch up...hehehehehe Actually tonight we are probably going up to the mountians, so you never get very many miles in, just lots of hard work and sweat trying to make it up. $600 sounds like a lot for a ride, but I figure if I make it our vacation, thats pretty dang good considering you get three meals a day, so less than $100 a day for a 7 day good time doing what I love to do... The bike I am looking at is cream and orange...looks like a creamsicle....lol..."look ma, that lady is riding a creamsicle..." let me see if I can find a pic....
  22. Well, HP!! I do have the clipless pedals on my road and mountain bike. I have fallen over three times so far when I forgot to unclip when I stopped. I was not seriously injured, so all is good. Although, it sure does hurt the pride to have people laughing at you!!! Ok, let go with the challenge!! I just added 35.89 miles last night, so you better get with it lady!!! I think Saturday we are going to do a 60 mile ride I found. There is a 26, 60, and 100 miles ride, there are a few hills, not small, rolling ones either. So, I think we can manage the 60 miler. The most we have ever gone at one time is around 40-45 I think, and that was last season. I guess I should feel so very lucky that I can bike up at home and take off and go right from the house, since most of you have to load it all up and then go. BG, I FOUND A STATE RIDE HERE IN IDAHO!!!!! But, we are too late to sign up....it is a 430 mile ride taking 7 days, but it is 600 dollars!!!! Only 200 people allowed to participate. They do it in August. They start registering in January and the website said that last year they were booked five months in advance. I didn't even try to see if we could get in this year, but next year for sure, I will be done with school and working full time so I am planning my vacay for August for sure!!!!! I contacted the Idaho Cycling Enthusiasts (I.C.E) and talked with the President. That is the only group here in Southeast Idaho. THey are mostly very competitive road racers. BUMMER!!! I don't want to RACE!!!!! I just want to ride. We did find a nice relaxed, easy rolling road with few cars to ride on last night. It was a nice change of pace of what we usually do. BG, included in the $120, is that food and everything??????? I have a different computer on both the bikes, one is a trek elite lime and not sure what the one is. HAS ANYONE HEARD ABOUT STEF OR FROM HER??????
  23. Oh, and we have sand here....its nice to lay on. Just sayin'....a vacation in Idaho might be what the doctor ordered. Although, the sand is not near the beach....LOL
  24. We have not taken the boat out at all, but it has been too cold. We are going out on the 4th I think, and the gas prices....hmmmmm, what gas prices, I own three bikes!!!!! LOL...yeah, that kind of puts a damper on the boating fun. Oh well, I would way rather be biking anyways.
