  1. Everyone knows monkeys like cupcakes.....shhhheeessshhhh....
  2. Who's.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is sooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A road bike would definitely help you a lot. Maybe your LBS sells used ones??? I know mine has a consignment shop, thats how I sold mine, it two days. Update on my saddle.....I think I like it. It is a Specialized Alias...WSD.....It is white, and very thin. I saw some carbon fiber saddles today that were so awesome looking. They looked like a thin piece of plastic....amazing.
  3. Awe, thats ok BG, at least you tried to do it and would of done it, if not for circumstances beyond your control. Good job on the 52!!!! Good thing your not in this little thing with HP and me....52 is a lot of miles..... I went and drove the route for my 70K ride and it is a steep and windy momma!!!! Oh my....not sure about this now....no refunds now though...should of drove it first I guess.....I think I will try it a couple of times before hand to see how it goes...but it is most definitely 9 or more miles climbing and no stopping, straight climbing to 1500'. I will make....I will make it....I will make it..... as I pass out thinking about it. J, glad you are getting a ride in today. Do you pull Zoe in a carrier???? Is this the first time riding in a while for you?? I bought a different seat today. A specialized, so we will see what happens. It has a lot less cushion and is narrower and thinner and looks thinner through the aroud that seems to be getting grinded, so we will see tonight.
  4. Where are BG and J??? Is this there Muddy Buddy weekend????
  5. Just so you know, I am off to look at Avon.....................ONLINE!
  6. ZZ, see now thats why I like you. I post a question, you post an answer. Who knew that you could order Avon online. Hmmmm, what a concept....sometimes I feel so old. I know how to run a computer, sometimes I just don't how to use it. And your welcome for the order, I am super excited to get them. I ordered me a pair too. The black ones, with the white fur....lol, fur, but thats what it looks like.
  7. BigB, welcome, and come join in with the bicycle talk. We have all been where you are now. We all love to ride too!! 5miles a night was enough for me at first and like Traci said, I thought I was gonna die too!!!! You are doing a great thing for yourself and will be so pleased with yourself. Just do a little at a time and increase as you can and soon you will be riding 20 or more a night. It really just comes with the territory. I don't consider riding exercise, I love it that much. It is just something I love to do now. I ride an average of 130 miles a week split up between 5 days.... Any questions at all feel free to ask any one of us here. We are all certified bicycle riders. HAHAHAHA
  8. I will be wanting cake when I am done. It is 70K, so about 43 miles.....there is a huge pasta dinner the night before...but I can't eat pasta anymore...boo hoo....It is paid for now, and there are no refunds, so I am committed to going. I WILL CONQUER THE MOUNTAIN!!
  9. JUST KIDDING!!! I am super excited about this ride I am doing. The coordinator called me today and talked to me. The mountain pass climb goes up 1500' in about nine miles he said. Piece of cake..
  10. Probably not here in Idaho you wouldn't. K, I am getting off now.
  11. I need an Avon lady...anyone know one?
  12. I had a salad with avacado for dinner, that was it. It was good. I need to start eating more salad and less carbs. Carbs are so good.
  13. You probably weren't wondering....
  14. If your wondering, I am going through this thing where my computer logs me out of the site automatically, so short posts for me for awhile..
  15. I used to be a Birkenstock kinda person, the ones I had last year, are now on the very last hole to do them up and are too big....YEAH ME!!!
  16. I am a flip flop kinda person now. I didn't use to be, but they are nice now that I am thinner.
  17. ZZ, bought some more flippys....Got the whole family some, well, the nieces anyways, and bought a pair for DD gf whos bday is coming up.....way cute...cant wait to get them.
  18. LOL...thats quite a ways away, I believe that is why I didn't hook up with you all when you did that ride last year. It was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too far away. But that would be really fun sometime. In the future.....faraway future...lol...maybe you can come take care of me when I am in a nursing home??? Or vice versa???? I am going to a different LBS that sells Specialized bikes. My regular store sells Trek, Raleigh, Diamondback, Lemond....did you know Trek makes Lemond??? I didn't until today. The seat I got was a Terry saddle....it says Butterfly on the side of it....that is the "kind" of seat in the Terry line I guess.
  19. My gosh people, somebody talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Hey, don't use the word taco in this raw hamburber talk... I LOVE tacos....now you ruined it for me....could you think of something about chocolate to say so that I will get sick thinking about that???????
  21. Oh and by the way, I am doing the endurance festival. It will be my first organized bicycling thing, hope I don't kill myself. In front of others. Who are on bicycles.
  22. Heres a cool thing I found. I know most of you have one you use already, but here it is www.endurancefestival.com go to bicycling calculator on the left hand side of page...and there is a running calculator too!!
  23. Although the store gives me a 20% discount on everything I buy, (I have bought 9 bikes from them) I think I will go somewhere else and look.
  24. Did I mention it costs 65.00 and I am taking it back.
  25. I got a new saddle before I rode today, and it is a womens Terry Butterfly. Don't think it is the one though. Was better, but not good. OUCH bg, raw hamburger is not good anywhere. Especially between your legs.
