  1. I think the important thing to remember is EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!! What one person can do, another can not do. Find something that you enjoy, I mean really enjoy, and you will stick with it. I started out walking, then biking, then running(well, jogging), hated both walking and running and now I totally bike. I love it with all of my heart and am upset when something gets in my way of doing it, not because I want to exercise, but because I just love getting out there on my bike and riding!!
  2. AND what a great hubby, to go home and come get you!!! Sounds like my hubby, so willing to help you in any way, shape, or form to succeed!! GIve him a big hug and kiss from me!! That is a great man right there!
  3. Good job on the two pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats great. As for the hill, I have a very small bump by my house that I use to call a hill. I had to walk up it when I first started. I haven't walked my bike for a long long time now. I think, try it your hubbys way and see. you might surprise yourself.
  4. That is the most incredible fantastic news I have heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must be so extremely happy and loving life!
  5. Well, I see this thread is super busy today. Going for my MRI today. Gotta see why I keep getting headaches and I can't hear out of my right ear. Brother, I hate these machines....BUT, I will say, I was almost 300 last time I was in one, so this should be good that way!!! Valium, here I come!!
  6. Can't sleep. Have a headache. Therefore, I am up. Wishing I was sleeping.
  7. LOL...but I have so few miles to go to get to my goal, I would like to go over my goal by 500 or so...that would be awesome. You will do great!!! It is just a little uncomfortable, but not bad...besides you are a tuffy....you ride a bike!

  14. My PCP didn't want me to get a band either. He told me that he had not seen much success with them. He wanted me to go bypass. I didn't. He was very surprised and happy when I went to see him a month ago. He was truly surprised I had lost 100 pounds. I think they tell you what they know. If they have not seen much success with something, they probably won't recommend it to patients. Do what you want to do, its your body and your life.
  15. going for a nice longgggggggggggggggggggggggggg ride, longer than HP hopefully.....we bet a 20 on it.....LOL....
  16. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO getting ready to hit the road here in a bit..............whats everyone else doing??? HP, I was talking to you!!!!!
  17. Your band sits just to the left of your sternum, right where your having the pain, if your looking down on your boobs. It is the food or drink that is sitting in your pouch that is causing this. Do talk to your doctor about it.
  18. Giving insulin shots is not the same thing as giving yourself a fill.
  19. Long2be, sometimes the gel pads make it worse. For now it is probably ok, but when you start riding more, you will want to get rid of it and get some spandex shorts with the padding in them, and go for a harder seat. I just had my first mammogram a few months ago, I was having some issues, but everything is good. Good luck with yours HP!!!
  20. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well, that would of been awsome!!! Go to user cp and find signature. You can then type all the stuff you want in there
  21. wow, you have lost 98 pounds since March?
  22. I wonder if I can still get a ride in if I come to Ohio?
  23. Well, I am mountain time, if I leave nowwwwwwwwwwwww, I should get there by........hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....I am not into math....
  24. Don't try to count up the calories here but this is the absolutely best, and I mean best, enchilada recipes EVER!!! Jessiebear posted it in the recipe section. 2 pkgs flour tortillas (I only use one pkg of 10) 1 cup grated cheddar cheese 1 16 oz. sour cream 1 can of chicken or 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and chopped 2 cans cream of chicken soup 1 can diced green chilies 1 small onion diced I added a can of olives, sliced Mix together everything except tortillas. Reserve half of mixture to put on top of tortillas. Using other half of mixture, divide among tortillas and roll up. In 13x9 pan, put tortillas and spread remaining mixture on top, sprinkle with cheese. Bake 30 minutes @ 350 degrees. These areeeeeeeeeee the besttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!! I could eat these everyday. I would hate to see what the calorie content is though...
  25. Isn't that funny Traci, I say 30, then tell you I am going 38....lol...have to win somehow I guess. It is really hot and humid here too, but the mountain pass we are going on it really really cool.....until you get to the top and come down the other side...then the heat wave begins again....
