I was banded June 26th and had 2ccs in the band from surgery. My surgeon has me on an interesting fill schedule. I get 0.5ccs every two weeks. I am now at about 3.5ccs in a 10cc band. Anyone else on a schedule like mine? My doc won't give me over 0.5ccs per fill....kind of weird?? I have plateaued and feel like at this rate I will never get to the green zone and start losing again <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />Dont rush it.. Its there for a life time.. Actually i like your schedule .. No sudden restrictions.. We spent years and decades over eating. Eventually you lose all within a year.

Tala' date=' congrats on feeling green <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> It's great ey ? <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />So, let me start by saying, day 1 of fill can give you a false idea of what your restriction will be. The stoma will be swollen and as that swelling dissipates you may feel your restriction going down. This is why we get fills every 4-6 weeks to stay on top of that restriction loss. But eventually you will be green and although swelling goes down, you still feel that perfect restriction.
When I reached green, it was 3 years until I needed to tweak my band restriction. I am still tweaking it to get it right. But the point is, once you are there it lasts much much longer <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Enjoy and respect your band <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote']
Thank you for your respond.. I think eventually we will get there..
And by the way.. I dont just respect my band, im in looooooove with my band.. Hahahaha

I'm 8 months out and no difference either but I've learned the correct way of eating by counting calories and feel it is beneficial that when I finally hit the sweet. Spot I'll have my food intake under control. I've said it before' date=' slow and steady wins the race, I'd rather have small fills than wind up being over filled.[/quote']
I had my attitude set exactly like you said it.. But my bad habits kicked in after 6 weeks of being banded... I was eating before today a whole chicken for example slowly.. Occasional stuck episodes when eating fast or eating bread but the quantity was still big.. And all the weight i last (20lbs) came from the liquid diet pre-op.
I had to adjust the band again.. Thanx for ur input.

Don't get me wrong' date=' I'm super excited about my surgery, but I'm a little overwhelmed with all of the new terms like feeling tight. I know this is a whole new lifestyle change and I am so ready for this, but except for my weight, I have been very successful in every aspect of my life and I'm so worried about screwing this up. I have been 100% compliant with everything so far, regarding Vitamins, and pre-op diet, still a little concerned.[/quote']If you have a weight problem... Believe me being tight in the morning is the reason you are going to lose the weight... Its not a happy feeling but it is the only feeling which will stop you from eating or getting the weight back after dieting. Its gonna become a second nature, and you will adjust fine.. And you will enjoy many many other things in life.

Hi I had mine done 4 yrs ago and port siteStill hurts specially when I get refilled as sometimes it decides to flip. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I was hoping when I was rebanded on Monday due to a slip had it moved but wasn't so lucky. So yes it can be uncomfortable. My Dr always tells me to talk to it before each refill. Lol
Talk to who?? .. Lol.. The port ?
I think we are in the era of "the secret"/ self healing / new age .. But mine speaks french shes from quebec, canada...

16 days after surgery.. Port under the skin still hurt on movement occasionally.. Normal?

0.8 lbs ????... Thats a glass of water.. Don't weight yourself everyday... And my advice to eliminate the frustration is to learn more and more about dieting and weight loss..
Its a life time process and you will not help your band by being uninformed.

So great talal!!! I can't wait to fast forward a week. You were banded the day I started my pre op diet!Itll pass in no time.. Dont think about it.. We suppose to be banded for life.. Dont rush it.. Everything will fall in place..

One week ..chicken ???
Hahaha.. It happened with me too.. With tuna.. Well, you suppose to be on liquids or mushy for at least another week..
Dont worry it will heal sooner than you know it .. Dont force it for now..
Good luck

You are going throught a whole body and life transformation and no one said its easy.. We were all banded because we have failed to diet and maintain it on our own.
Follow the doctors advice to the letter and it will be down hill afterward.
I almost choked last week because i did not follow doc orders.. Sip Water slowly and dont indanger your wounds.
Goodluck

Eating tuna which I was not suppose..
But the question is: prior to the vomiting I did not feel anything like I just vomited that's it, than the pain started.. I had no signs before vomiting.. Should I ?
