I had my surgery Jan. 29th and had my follow-up a week after surgery. I saw the surgeon for about 5 minutes. He looked at my incisions, asked how I was feeling, and reviewed what things I needed to do to have this be successful and would see in a few weeks for my first fill.
I am sure it is different for every surgeon, but nothing to fret about.Write questions down if you have any.
Welcome to the site and congrats on getting banded!

Hello,
I have been looking into getting back into yoga. I am only 2 weeks post-op and I am wondering when it would be appropriate to do yoga again? My surgeon said I could return to exercise just know ab work. Do you think that yoga can involve abs to much, would you just participate to your comfort level?
Any thoughts? Anyone currently doing yoga?

Thanks for the feedback. The surgeon did give me meds for nausea but at follow he said I wouldn't need to use the refill. Guess he was wrong, went to the pharmacy this afternoon. Feel much better and calmer.

12 pounds since day of surgery? Wow! That's a lot, congrats!

Hi all Happpy Hump Day!
So I am 1 week post-op, and on full liquids at this point. I have been struggling to get my Proteins and fluids in daily. The past two days have been better but still not great. I am sipping Water throughout the day as I can tolerate. This morning I woke feeling a little nauseated, nothing extreme but enough to be like "what the heck does this mean" but then I was also like is this what hunger feels like now, since I have not been hungry since surgery. Has anyone experienced this feeling? I still trying to figure what all my band is telling me and when I feel like this it makes me not want to eat or drink anything in case it would make it worse but I worried I am not getting enough nutrition/hydration already.
Any thoughts or ideas let me know!

Hi all,
So reviewing all my information I received at various appointments as I prepare to have my surgery this coming Wednesday (jan. 29). In one of the pamphlets, which I believe is from the company that makes the Lap Band, mentions signing up for My Lap-Band Journey at their website lapband.com. It talks about doing this to have access to a bunch of tools, etc. For the life of me I cannot find where to sign up on their website. Has anyone done and can anyone tell me how to?

Hi all,
Got the call to schedule my surgery, which will be Jan. 29th! Very excited, have had a lot of other crap going on in my life the past couple weeks so this was the good news I needed! So now I start the 800/day liquid diet per the surgeon, any words of wisdom to get me through the next 2 weeks of this?

Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for at least helping keeping your skin moisturized and maintain to elasticity to decrease with loose skin and stretch marks? I know it is inevitable but wondering what people have heard or have been using? Thanks....

Hi all,
So I am at the stage where I am getting all my various tests done and meetings with the dietitian start this month. During then next 6 months I thought it may be good to do some reading about what to expect, things to be aware, successes, set backs, etc. Anyone recommend any good books pertaining to Lap Band surgery and life after surgery?

I myself have not been eating like a banded person either. Starting tomorrow I'm getting back to the basics, really listening to my band and focusing on my food intake good luck ladies we can do it ,
