I was on 3 protein drinks a day and 1 300 calorie lean cuisine. For 12 days pre op then clear liquids the last 2 days pre op. it wasn't too bad!

So glad you doing better sprinkle!!! My stomach is making all kinds of weird noises! I seem to be able to fart better than ican burp! -

Ok I have tried gas x, heating pad and walking and I still sound like a ripe melon if you thump my stomach! I can seem to pass the lower gas just fine but I still can not burp very well! I feel like I have to burp but nothing cord out, I just get this rushing pain in my chest and shoulder that lasts for just seconds. Anyone have a remedy?

Sprinkle they did not give you post op pain meds! I am taking mine every 6 hours still ! Call your surgeon and see if he will prescribe something for you. It might have been an over site. -
I made some tuna salad with albacore tuna, light Mao and dill pickle relish. I kept it in the fridge the whole time I was In my pre op diet. Whenever I would have those overwhelming feelings I would have 1 or 2 forks full. I kept pretty strict to the pre op diet other than the tuna and still managed to loose 14 lbs in 12 days.

Sleeping on my back also. I think my stomach is too swollen to sleep on my side or back.

The gas pains are bad I agree. Some discomfort at incisions. I am hoping once the gas bloating is gone the pressure will go away. Hang in there everyone, this will pass. Stay strong! -

Krlawson you were able to eat eggs already! Wow! I have only been able to get a protein drink mixed with water down. I have no hunger at all. Drinking juice, tea and water. Dr said I could try some creamed soups, strained. Thinking about having some tonight just to get some nutrition in me . I am still sore and pretty tired. Hoping 3 rd day post op is less gas pain! -

We are suppose to keep using the spirometer until we are breathing deeply again. Probably a few more days. -
My upper arms and neck really hurt. Anyone else have this pain?

Day 1 post op, they just put a corset on me! Wow this thing is great. So much easier to move and cough. Much better than just the pillow. If the hospital dies not offer it to you I highly recommend asking for one! -

It is a surgical corset or also know as an abdominal binder. There are no bones in it. -
If it hurts your stomach when you cough ask for a abdominal belt it works wonders!

Amazing how well we July banisters are doing. I feel pretty good today also. A little gas pain but otherwise pretty good. I had a hernia repair also.

Highly recommend corset after surgery

This is a surgical corset that velcros close around you. It covers all my incisions. My incisions seem really high up to me. Not sure I will be able to Pitt a bra on later to go home.
