  1. That's great news. I wish you all the best. Just remember, the decision we make today shows on our body tomorrow...

  3. It sometimes happens but I'm not sure it was fiber induced but expelling surely helps. Lol
  4. I'm going to take my chance and just show up. If the don't have my room, Expedia will make it right!
  5. Wow. The discounted rate for Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego is closed already. Now rooms are $280 a night. Good luck and enjoy! To rich for my blood.
  6. This thread used to be on fire! What happened? Tell your story. Drop a line or 2. Never know what might help others. Some of you seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth.
  7. I guess I'm not exactly sure what is I should be attending. What is this? Airfare, Hotel, registration and food add up to quite the bill for something I'm not sure what it is. I've seen the website, videos and newsletters. Anyone else a little confused? Someone care to expand/enlighten me?
  8. That's ridiculous. No way are you getting that much protein. If you're counting grams from shakes, forget it. The body passes most of that right out. I eat less that 4 ounces of meat a day. How many grams? Who cares. If you eat properly you don't need to count that stuff. Think I'm wrong? Plenty of Vegans lead healthy lives.
  9. So how goes it? We haven't heard from you in quite some time.
  10. Dr. Simpson sees other patients as well. I was banded in Mexico. Go to him. He provides more than just a fill. His guidance and care are invaluable. He cares and is more than just a needle.
  11. I use Dr. Terry Simpson. He is amazing. Look into using him. Without him, I would not have lost 85 pounds so far!
  12. Here is my unsolicited advice. First, stop eating yogurt. It's 12 degrees from being ice cream. Seriously, it's not good for you. Who said it was? The maker of it? Blend up some soup you made. Much better for you. Just need a blender or immersion blender. Secondly, measure your food. Everything. Start small. You can always have more. For example. My dinner will look like this. 4 ounces of protein. Weighed on my digital scale. Then I will have 2 measured 1/2 cups of veg. Like beans and avocado or peas & carrots and cauliflower. I don't eat simple carbs. I am still hungry when I finish dinner nearly every time. I know that I will be ok in 15 to 20 minutes. Takes that long for my brain to get the message. Eating any more than that will make me feel miserable. Hope it helps.
  13. banded this year or last? I expected to be farther along than I am but pleased I figured it out and am as far as I am. If that made any sense. I figured it would be easy. Eat the same old shit, just less of it and the pounds would just fall off. Once I learned how to use the band, I got serious about losing and am down 80 from about Feb. I should hit my goal of 106 pounds lost by middle of December
  14. at this point in time, I would be scared to death to have my band drained. I hope your surgery goes well. Please give us an update as often as you can. The more I lose, the more I think I may have to get some skin removed when I hit my goal. FTR, I'm down 80 pounds and have 26 to go. Congrats on your loss Zingy!
  15. A year ago I was miserably overweight. I thought I would be farther along but very happy where I am. Down 72 pounds and looking to shed the last 30 before Thanksgiving. Hope everyone is doing good. Happy July anniversary.
  16. That should say I didn't LOSE sh*t for the first 7+ months....
  17. Knowing how many CC's are in you band is as useless as knowing how many holes are in a screen door. Seriously, I have no idea why people track this stuff. I saw your other post and I too was banded last July. I thought I could eat whatever and the weight would magically fall off. My sister had the band, ate like a bird, once a day, was never hungry and lost a ton of weight. That was 5 years ago and she is still doing great. I'm down 65 with a goal of 106. I didn't sh*t for the first 7+ plus months. I paid $250 a fill and had 12 of them. Then I said, I am either going to get it unfilled and lead a fat life or find out why I wasn't successful. I was miserable. Angry even. I went to my doc and bitched for 10 minutes. What I got back, was information, support and direction. I hope you can get back on track. I've found over the years I have no will power but I do have motivation. If I can help, in any possible, please don't hesitate to ask. Good luck, it's a lot of work.
  18. This page has certainly gone cold. How is everyone doing?
  19. It's a struggle coming to the realization I pissed away more than 7 grand on a tool that isn't doing what I hoped it would or was led to believe it would. So success stories from people who went in for a few fill, reduced what they ate and loss great weight. Before you go posting the don't believe what you read stuff, of those success stories was my sister and her friend. She eats what she wants, gets full after a few bites and is done. She doesn't count calories. Doesn't weigh her food. She has to be reminded to eat at times. Sooooo, how am I doing? Pissed but coming to grips with this and wondering what my next step will be. I should have done nutri system or Jenny Craig cause this band thing ain't working. Please don't offer your "helpful" tips. I am done weighing food. Done being hungry. Done calling my doctor. Done being jabbed in my stomach. Been filled 10 times. At $250 a visit. Half the visits were a double stick cause I couldn't drink the water.....FTR, no there hasn't been weight loss. Good luck to all of you who this has worked for. Some of you post some amazing results and that is fantastic!
  20. So, to try and breath a little life back into this thread, how about people let us know how you're doing. It can be a few words or a few paragraphs. Me? 7 fills, at $250 a pop and still not really losing. A bit pissed that I did this but time will tell. Last one seemed to help with feeling full with less food. First time since I started this process. Ok? GO!
  21. This is what pisses me off! Tired of f*ckin doctors telling me not to worry. Why would they? They aren't the ones that forked out over 5 grand now and suffered being a fat ass my whole life. Sorry Brittani, it touched a nerve. I can so relate. I am tired of hearing about its a tool. It's mental. You have to put in the work. If this tool was in my tool box, I would chuck it off a bridge! Good luck to you and just remember one thing, YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER! If you think you need a fill, make sure to get one! I really came off angry here. I may need to vent more often, that felt good! G
  22. 4 fills. No help. No weight loss. A little discouraging. No reduction in amount I eat. Hungry a few hours after I do. Banded July 12th...
  23. As did the other day. Foolishly tried to eat a hot dog before a concert. Was miserable all night and into the next day. Will chew like crazy. Never want that feeling again!
