I have been starving since my operation! I ate real food the day after. Along with liquid stuff, I ate some tuna today and a few crackers. I'm not a sweet guy, so all these hellos and Popsicles and protein shakes and sweet on top of sweet on top of sweet are to much for me!

That was my biggest fear while getting mine done because 50 people around me were getting the sleeve. The staff kept telling me about the sleeve and I kept telling them I was getting the lapband. However, not sure i would have been upset to get the sleeve.

I refuse to eat baby food!

With the ridiculous fees these doctors want, they can ALL kiss my ass! I'm going back to Mexico.

Couple of stupid cliches that come to mind. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Also, don't get hung up on the scale thing. Your weekly average is really what I pay more attention too. And lastly, until you get your first fill, it's really about healing the incisions and band itself.

I have showered but am just letting the water/soap just wash over. I have old school stitches, so I don't wanna mess with them. I get to take them out in a few days, on my own, by myself. Lol

I have the GNC chewable vitamins and it is not a treat!

So seriously, is anyone in the Phoenix area doing self pay? This is getting ridiculous. One doctor, Dr, Stevenson, wanted $260 just to be seen and $200 for a fill. The other, at WLIA is a $500 fee and $200+ a fill. Are you kidding me. It would be cheaper to go back to Mexico for Christ sake.

I bought and ate boxes of the Gas-X strips. It did nothing for me. Nothing. :-(

I absolutely love tuna in the bag. Just plain tuna, in oil of course, straight out of the bag. Cannot wait until I can eat that. I could eat that all day and night. When were you banded again? I need to find a doc in the area to see. One I asked was like $260 for visit and another $200 for a fill. Uh, no! I'll go back to Mexico for that cost! Hmm, come on Phoenix, don't let me down. I am not having an issue with protein drinks. My problem is hunger.

If that helps, for the love of god, please post. I still feel like I am being stabbed from the gas.... Sadly, since I was banded in Mexico, I feel like I am on my own. I found a diet program for lapband patients online and I think it will work the best. I am beyond hungry, as you all know from hearing me piss and moan. I am sick and tired of broth and Popsicles. 3 days post op, just took bandages off. Do I have to cover the incisions back up? I would prefer not to cause I am allergic. My IV site where the tape was looks nasty. Thoughts?

My concern is, what to put on them if I cover them. I have read that I shouldn't use neosporin cause it can trap the dirt.....

Thank you. I think I am going to try to keep uncovered but a few stitches keep snagging.
