  1. I went back to work after 3 days with the limitation of lifting no more than 20lbs. I was just fine but was do tired by the end of the first few days. Some people have said they needed a full two weeks. Only you know your body and how you heal, recover, and handle pain. I think 3 weeks would be more than enough though! Good luck!!

  3. Warning to the newbie haters... I'm only two weeks out! Lol

But... I'm here trying to figure all this out and I don't need support as much as advice and answers so I'm definitely on the, "give it to me straight" bandwagon! I'm wondering what my body is telling me and what it needs and you little experts better give me the hard, cold facts!!

  4. I just heard from True Results and... I'm Approved!!!! Woo hoo! I meet with my surgeon on November 19th and my surgery is early morning on the 20th. Yessssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats!! That's super exciting!!

  5. Thank you all! Before surgery I was hoping they'd be aggressive and get me filled up immediately but now two weeks out I'm thinking I sure hope they don't want to add much until I get used to eating this way! Lol I know I still have a way to go before I talk it out with my nutritionist but I'm expecting this bandster hell starvation and, luckily, haven't experienced it yet. The hardest part is the anticipation and not knowing exactly what's normal or what to expect since everyone seems to be so different on this journey!

  6. As anyone skipped their first fill? Mine is scheduled in a week but I'm still eating less than 1,000 calories a day. I'll eat 1/2 - 1 cup of mushies and I'm full for 4-5 hours. I've even gotten stuck (just for a minute or two) from too big of a bite of Greek Yogurt, blended chili, refried Beans or Cottage cheese. I'm two weeks out from surgery now and have been on mushies for the last week per my surgeons schedule. Thanks for any advice!

  7. I'm sorry to hear your experience with True Results hasn't been great. I went through them here in Austin and they are amazing!! If anything, I feel over-educated compared to most and I have everyone's contact info, phone numbers, emails, everything if I have any questions or need help! They're so responsive and send me folders full of info anytime I have a question. I'd call and tell them you need help and demand some answers.

  8. I waited until today to buy it and leftovers are going to work on Friday. I've decided to allow myself 2 pieces while we're handing out tomorrow so I don't have to feel sorry for myself and know to leave myself an extra 200 calories tomorrow so I don't exceed. And I'll crank up the treadmill tomorrow so I can be guilt free ????

  9. M really feeling pretty good one day post-op but wondering if it's normal to have trouble even drinking Water unless I heat it up first? If I put it in the microwave for a minute, I can sip it pretty well. Room temp or cooler, I feel it in my chest like when you take too big of a gulp of soda and there's like a burning and pressure feeling. My face starts to burn up, I start sweating, and feel like I'm about to vomit. It passes after a few minutes but I'm wondering if it's normal for room temp or cool Water to be so hard to swallow!

I had the lap band put in yesterday and hernia repair.

    Thanks!

  10. My Dr said I can have anything that I'd be able to drink through a straw for the first week and then move to mushies. Unlike some of you that can have Jell-o during liquids, doc said none of that- you can't suck it through a straw!

Sweetie- I'd just call your surgeons office and let them know. They may want to check up on it but hopefully you'll be okay. I'm definitely finding warm liquids feel much better and settle much more nicely in this crazy tummy!
