  1. I thought I would maybe be out 2 but my Dr says mandatory 4 weeks.
  2. Jersey- I just wanna grab his fat little cheeks! He's a cutie pie!
  3. The one on the left looks like he's having fun. Lol
  4. If you don't mind me asking... Why will it be open? Is it because you had lap band?
  5. Thanks for the reminder about Advil. I hadn't thought about it.
  6. I was nervous about the endoscopy but it was easy. I remember going into the room and looking at the monitors while waiting for them to get it started. The next thing I remember was waking up. I told the nurse that I wanted to watch them do it on the monitor. She said well you were laying there looking at it the whole time. LOL.
  7. I'm not looking forward to this side effect. I already have a strong sense of smell. I don't want to imagine it being stronger.
  8. My surgery is Jan 17,,I have to do a bowel prep but only the evening before surgery starting at 6 pm. I haven't heard of a 2 day prep. I've done one bowel prep in Oct a few hours before my surgery was cancelled due to the Dr's wife having her baby. At least now I know what to expect, but still not looking forward to it. Lol Good luck!
  9. I didn't have the flu in November when I was scheduled for surgery, but I was coughing up mucus. I had to reschedule due to it. The Dr office told me to load up on fluids and Vutamin C while I was sick. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
  10. Wow!! That's amazing! He looks great!
  11. One of my Drs' wives had her baby the night before my surgery date in Oct. I was sick on my Nov surgery date. Hopefully I can keep this date lol.
  12. Jan 17th for me. It's been rescheduled twice now. Hopefully nothing happens this time!
  13. I lost about 35 lbs on it once. It worked great. It really curbed my appetite. BUT I had incredible dry mouth and heart palpitations also. And of course I gained it all back and then some after stopping it.
  14. My date is Now set in stone; Jan 17. I'm living in a bubble that week! I might freak out if something happens and it's cancelled for a 3rd time !
  15. 2 days with Tricare. But I don't think this is the norm with other insurance. Good luck !
  16. After having my surgery postponed on Oct 11 AND Nov 11, I have a new surgery date of Jan 10. Hopefully the 3rd time will work! LOL . My Drs wife had her baby on my Oct date and I was sick on my Nov date. I plan on living in a bubble the week before my surgery! I could have it on Dec 20th but its so close to Christmas and my kids' birthdays. I've waited this long, it won't hurt to wait awhile longer
  17. I had a person today tell me that it ruined her cousins life. He won't go out to eat and he had medical problems because of the surgery. I told he can still go out after the surgery and maybe he's afraid he will overeat and that's why he chooses not to go out. She seems to be happy that my surgery has been postponed twice. Once due to dr's wife having a baby and today because I was sick. She tells me so many negative stories but I know she want WLS also. She's about 450 lbs and needs a hip replacement, which won't happen unless she loses weight. Our company insurance doesn't cover WLS.
  18. Good luck to everyone having surgery tomorrow. I was suppose to have mine tomorrow but it has been postponed again. I knew I would get sick after my 22 month old grandson puked on me 6 times Tuesday night lol. Dr office said I would be ok as long as I wasn't coughing up anything. Well that started last night. : (. I called the Dr on call and he said if I was his patient he would cancel surgery. Due to my crazy work schedule due to the holidays, I may try for Dec 6 or Jan 13th. But on the bright side..... I get to go Black Friday shopping!! Hubby is excited about that lol.
  19. Thanks Janifer. Good luck and praying you and your hubby have a speedy recovery! I'm really thinking my surgery will be postponed. I feel like crap. : ( I'll do my bowel prep tomorrow and hope for the best on Monday morning. I have to be there at 7.
  20. That's what I thought. I don't see how they would shrink 4 sizes.
  21. I read on here where someone went from a 11 to a 7. Idk, I can see going from wide to average. I hope my feet do shrink some because I'm an 11 now. LOL
  22. Good luck with your surgery! I think it's great that you are doing this while young. I wish I had when I was a lot younger. Hang in there! You are almost there.
  23. They also told me to get plenty of Vitamin C and stay hydrated. I have drank over a half gallon of orange juice since yesterday and I'm using sugar free Vitamin c drops. I'm on the fence about seeing my family dr today or just waiting through the weekend to see how it goes. It's a little aggravating that a friend at work told me oh well, it must be a sign that you shouldn't have surgery while smiling big. I know she's jealous because she can't have it, but I still wanted to smack her lol.
  24. My surgery was postponed from Oct 11th to Nov 11th due to my Dr's wife having her baby. I've tried to stay healthy this week but I have failed miserably. My 22 month old grandson got sick Tuesday and vomited on me 6 times. All i could think at the time was oh great, im gonna get sick. I also received my flu shot the same day. The Dr office told me Monday it was fine to go ahead and get one. My throat started hurting bad yesterday with a runny nose and sneezing. I emailed Dr office and asked about being sick. She said as long as I don't have a fever or coughing up stuff I should be fine. But if Im nauseous or vomiting on Monday they will reschedule. I'm hoping I don't have to do my bowel prep AGAIN only to find out I have to reschedule again. : ( Anyone have a cold at time of surgery?
