Cool! I'm going to my first appointment with him this morning. My family dr said he has heard a lot of good things about him. He's the one that recommended him to me.

Who is your cousin? I'm in Asheboro but I'm getting my WLS in Pinehurst.

My son goes to the YMCA. New members gets an hour with a trainer for free. Afterwards, it's $20 an hour. I'm hoping I'll be able to go and learn a few things in an hour. The Bariatric Center I chose has a gym and patients can use it free for 2 weeks. They show you exercises to do at home or you can continue using their gym. I'm not sure of the cost after the trial. I plan to go a few times, but they are over an hour away. I agree with you about being intimidated. I've never stepped foot in a gym and I'm definitely not the blonde Barbie in her cute little workout clothes either. LoL

I can understand that, there are alot of attachments. I keep the base on my counter and all the attachments in the box. I have a small space beside of my fridge where the box fit perfectly.

I bought mine at costco a few months ago when they had it on sale. it was a great deal and came with more accessories than other stores. I love mine but have only used it twice. Once to make chicken salad and once to pulverize some ice to add to a mixed drink. I'm sure I will use it alot more after surgery.

I'm still pre-surgery. But I have a birthday coming soon and $35 Best Buy Rewards. I'll just have to talk hubby into buying me a "fancy step counter." LOL.

I love cottage cheese and I have to have black pepper too. I also like a little shredded cheese mixed with it. I haven't been able to talk myself into trying Greek yogurt yet.

Me too... I don't know how I will survive my PMS. LoL

I haven't had surgery yet but I know that I can't have it so I stopped drinking them in April. I really haven't missed it much yet.

Mine is 62 right now. I meet with the Dr on the 15th and not sure if he will want me to lose more weight before surgery. Good luck!

If you don't mind me being nosey.... How much is your BMI?

I can't wait to: Not worry if I can fit in a booth. Go hiking with my husband without feeling like I will have a heart attack before we reach the top. Be able to play with my grandkids on the floor and be able to get up easily. To loss enough weight that I don't feel like my family is embarrassed to be seen with me. Not sneeze and pee at the same time and to stop wearing pads everyday because of it. Fly for the first time. Be healthy and enjoy life with my family!

Are they also covering it because your base doesn't have bariatric? I'm trying to go through Womack in Fort Bragg. I live about 3 hrs away. My dr office has sent in 2 requests for referrals and I've been approved both times to see a local Dr to see if weight loss surgery is necessary. But I don't want to go this route because I know Tricare doesn't cover the sleeve and I was told this by a tricare rep. Womack said my Dr isn't wording the requests correctly so that I can be treated at Womack. They said my Dr needs to send in a request to Tricare to be evaluated and treated on base. I see my family Dr On Friday and I hope I can get this straight. I would be a lot farther in the process if I decided to go gastric bypass, but I really want the sleeve.
