Hi all! Been quite a while since I've been on here... Was doing well with the weight loss... Even started running! Then I suffered a back injury... Had surgery 3.5 weeks ago. The back issue lead to depression which lead to more weight gain... And so on.... Hoping the surgery was a success so I can get back on the right track!
  3. Hey Melissa, I am CJ. I am about to go in for band surgery. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I'm delivering at a birth center and they require that I make it to 37 weeks.. I started to thin out and dialate at 34 weeks so they put me on bed rest last week. I'm hoping I make it!!! Its a little boy..and he totally has a mind of his own!!

Hello all! All is going well.. well.. as well as it can go at 36.5 weeks pregnant! I've been on bed rest for a week and a half and its driving me absolutely NUTS! On the good side.. I've only gained 23 lbs so far.. so I'm happy about that. I just have to hold off until 3/31 to make it to 37 weeks.. then I can go off bed rest and get progressing!! Hope everyone is well... Sandra!! Nice to see you here again!!!

Hello all...and thank you for all your well wishes! We had the first appointment today... all went well. Still too early to hear the heartbeat (7 weeks... due 4/25). They said I'm in perfect health to deliver at the Birth Center (which is all holistic..run by midwives) She even said I have the BP of a runner!... yeah I'm thinking... you see the size of my rear?? I dont run!! HA! I'm having bouts with nausea and I get tired pretty fast...but I went to my chiropractor and got adjusted and feel 100% better. They also have no worries about the band and pregnancy. They just want me to visit my Dr and have him write up a little note saying that he agrees to treat me as needed if any complications (too much restriction) arise. So far so good... I'm able to eat small meals...and quite alot at times. I still have good restriction but I'm able to eat without any trouble at all.... meats, breads... everything goes down fine. I'm a little tight in the morning with my cereal but I'm able to eat a cup with no problem. And funny thing is... I'm craving proteins! Mostly cheeses. And all of a sudden I hate fish and seafood... something I've always LOVED! Very odd... I didnt weigh in today so I'm not sure where I stand with gain/loss... and honestly... I'm really not worried too much. Dont get me wrong.. I dont want to gain nearly what I gained with my first pregnancy (nearly 80 lbs) but I'm looking to have a normal, healthy weight gain. I'm still walking and just trying to take good care of me and the baby!

I think I will be making a call to the Dr tomorrow.. I cant get anything down! My last fill was in May! You would think that I'd be way loose by now.. but nope.. somehow, all of a sudden I'm tighter than I've ever been! I havent been able to get anything down all day.

Hi all.. Its been a very long time since I've been on... The past few weeks have been very stressful. DH has been in the VA hospital an hour away for the past 5 weeks...and will prob. be there for another 5 weeks. He is making progress... its slow going... but he is doing better. As for me... emotionally I've been up and down. Lots of stress..and out of the blue it caught up with my band today. PB'ing on very runny mashed potatoes! Ugh.. And honestly, I'm not even sure where I am as far as weight loss goes.. I havent weighed in over a month. I did however finally find new jeans... size 16 "seven" jeans... which are now too big also :-)

Hello all... Its been a while..and nothing really new to report on this end.. Been very busy with DH being in the hospital. Dr's expect him to be there for about 12 weeks. On a good note.. after I visit him today I'm off to buy new jeans... the old ones just wont do anymore.. they're worn out and WAY too big! I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror this morning and I look like I'm wearing a potato sack!

What a cutie.. congrats!! We are in St. Louis on vacation...visiting the inlaws and eating lots of Bosnian food... a few too many PB's... ugh.... I've been taking it easy the past few days... trying to stay clear of the sweets!

Laura- Thank you. Yes, it has been very tough to watch him suffer...but hopefully now he will get the help he needs and the treatment he deserves. We had another appt at the VA today... we put the request in to change Doctors and spoke with the social worker a little more in detail about the program he will be entering. He "interviews" for the program on Friday... they said they normally have beds available within a week...but we are leaving for St. Louis on 6/6 to visit his family...and returning the following weekend.. so he will most likely start the program once we return. It will be a long and rough 6-8 weeks...but hopefully he will be returned to me as a normal..and healthy 27 year old man. I'm still having a hard time eating at times... yesterday it was almost impossible to eat... PB'ing on a few quick gulps of OJ... I'm just taking it very slow. ... a little late reporting a NSV... our 13 year old daughter called me skinny! Thats saying something coming from a teenager!!! I was thrilled!
