1. My Dr told me only 1 week. I do have my pre-op appt with him before I am supposed to go back to work though so we will see what he says about it. My job isn't quite as demanding as most CNA jobs... Some nights I just sit for hours on end but then again some nights are so crazy especially when I'm alone

Oh okay I forgot what shift your on makes a big difference. How are you feeling after surgery? My pain is about gone it just feels a little weird to have the lapband in.

  2. I was banded This past Thursday. First few days was in so much pain from the CO2 they fill you with! Yesterday most of that was gone and I'm just a bit sore still from incisions. I'm getting worried because tomorrow I go back to school an 8hr day and Friday I'm back to work (as a nursing assistant). Also working on getting all of my fluids in because I feel a bit dehydrated this morning! I'm sick of liquids but hubby brought me some progresso Tomato Soup yesterday and that was to die for since I was craving Italian food haha. The head hunger will be the toughest thing but luckily a lot of great Italian food can be low carb just without the pasta!

Congrats on being banded. I was banded last Tuesday.. Be careful at work though since we're not supposed to lift a lot and CNAs tend to lift a lot.

  3. Loving the positivity on this thread. Just think come February we'll all be banded and hearing all those pounds and kilos drop off each other.

How often is everyone planning on weighing themselves? I was going to go with once a week or at my dr appointment. Last time I lost a tonne of weight I got a wee bit obsessed with the scales and I don't want that to happen again. Also still trying to figure out my final goal. Do you have yours?

I'm excited for all of us. I was thinking either once a week, every 2 weeks or at the doctors. Im not just gonna weigh myself though I'm going to take my measurements to. Sometimes the scale doesn't move like the inches do. My final goal will be 140-145. I'm thinking of doing some that stones thing where you put one in for each pound.
