Just got the news. Approved 10/21!!!!!!!

I swear they do that on purpose. My husband and I nearly had a domestic over little Debbie's. She is banned from our house and he brought them home because he thought I might want them! Sabotage. I had to sit him down and seriously talk to him.

I canceled my RNY in sept 2009. I was totally terrified and had the worst feeling. Canceled the day b4. I did so well on the pre op I thought I could do it alone. I lost about 70 lbs through diet and exercise. I have gained 55 back since and just can't keep the weight from climbing. I have tried everything. Except this. I am ready! It is normal to be scared of the unknown but face it - life is unknown. You will do great. Focus on the positive!!

Penciled in on 21st. How long did it take you for ins approval.

K. So I know this a completely different area of the body, but I just wanted to hear about the pain from those ladies who had a c section. Similar? Different? Worse? Better? I am a big chicken when it comes to surgery. Thanks!

Hi! What consistency should shakes be right after surgery. I usually like mine the consistency of a Wendy's frosty but I am afraid that May be too thick...

Hello. New here 1st post ever. Was approved for gastric bypass in 2009 and changed my mind. I have been considering lap band since May and was set on it. Didn't even know what the sleeve was. I have read and read and read and read some more about both surgeries and am pretty convinced the sleeve is for me. I work out and eat decently well, just too much. I need a shut off switch. Does anyone have any regrets about their sleeve? First appt with the doc is mid September . Very nervous!

Well. Had EGD this morning. Small hiatal hernia but otherwise great!! Tentative date set. Just waiting for ins!

Met with my surgeon today. I feel very comfortable with my decision. Now on to the ins approval!

So. Let me in on the secret world of being thinner... I have never been there. What did you figure out? What are we pre ops missing out on?
