Indeed it is! I love that I can go to the store and try on size 12 things! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  5. So, we decided to go to Disneyland. I went to Disneyland with my girlfriends prior to surgery and somehow GAINED 6 lbs. anyway, so Monday morning we are getting ready to leave and I grabbed a hotel waffle and hard-boiled egg. Ate about half the egg and stopped as I really dislike eggs. I ate 2 bites of the waffle and the damn thing got stuck! NOT the way I wanted to start my trip. Luckily we had a half mile walk to the park from our hotel and it worked its way down in no time, but I was still afraid the rest of the day of eating if I had any swelling. Ugh. Props to Disneyland for carrying light lemonade that I can drink in addition to my Water. I hate eating out anymore as no one has any diet, no carbonation drinks. With the exception of tea, which I strongly dislike. We shall see what the scale says when I return home Thursday. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Running a half?

So I've recently been th king of run ing the P.F. Chang's half marathon. I have a couple 5k's coming up and am also thinking about the 12K's of Christmas. Am I C-R-A-Z-Y? I think so... I finally made it to the 180's making me 35 lbs down. Woo-hoo! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  7. So today my girlfriends and I went shopping for dresses for our friends services next weekend. It was an AMAZING feeling for me to pick out dresses that were 3-4 sizes smaller then what I had been wearing! I also got an awesome pair of heels to go with this new pink dress. I know my friend was guiding me in my choices today because they are all things I was going to walk away from initially. We are all getting tattoos in her honor also. Can't wait for Friday, but Saturday can stay away for awhile. I had always thought about a tattoo but never did anything about it because of my weight. I must say, I am feeling damn good lately. I cut my hair off, bought a hot dress and "hooker heels" (not really, but they are high!), and am getting a tattoo. Exciting things on the horizon. I might need to go dress shopping again!! 12. So I've noticed over the past few weeks I've been dreaming about diet soda. I haven't had a diet Coke or Diet Pepsi since mid-June, but recently they've been popping ip in my dreams. However, in my dream I take a drink and then seem to be in instantaneous, world-ending pain. And then I wake up. Anyone else have weird dreams? Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    pap smear

I think it was 2 years ago during a pap that my doctor had accidentally screwed some of my inner thigh fat while securing the speculum to get the sample. I didn't say anything because I was so embarrassed by my fatness. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Miserable

I also experienced buyers remorse quickly after surgery. I did learn I was drinking my liquids to quickly causing a lot of discomfort. Once I learned to drink smaller sips and over a longer period of time I felt better. I am now close to three months out and down 33 lbs. It WILL get better. Walk as much as possible and keep your drinks small. You will get there. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  17. I am NOT ready for an all-you-can-eat type of restaurant. My head hunger was HARD to control at Sweet Tomatoes Friday night. I had a dinner date with my sweet 6 year and it was her choice for dinner. I didn't completely kill myself, but I did eat more then I should have. I blame their damn delicious blueberry muffins in addition to myself! Although, I did come out with a positive...I've been scared to try salad as I've read so many times about people who have issues with it. I did great with it! Yay! Down 33 lbs since June 20 - I'll take it! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  18. Tonight is a fundraiser night for school - Barro's pizza night. I loooooove Barro's Pizza. Until tonight. I ate a few bites and find it gross. To much sugary sauce, gooey cheese...just not my choice anymore. Maybe it's because I am still sick? But ew! I guess I'm a bit sad at the loss of something I once found delish, but on the other hand I CAN eat it I'm just choosing not to going forward I guess. Never thought pizza would be something I'd turn my nose up at. Oh well! Who needs pizza anyway!?
  19. So yesterday while at the hospice center when left tonsil started hurting. I left my friend and came home at 11 and woke up at 7 the next morning with the worst sore throat I've had in awhile. Drove myself to urgent care and voila! Strep positive. I immediately asked for a liquid script so it could go down easier and not bother my band. Sadly, I am most upset that I am out of the hospice center for today and probably tomorrow. I had planned to spend this whole weekend with my bestie, but I guess life has other plans. My Motrin is not breaking my fever or making the pain in my throat any less. I'm running 103.5 and contemplating having to hit the ER for fluids as I'm know I'm getting dehydrated. Sorry for my rambling, but I'm just so upset about my friend and needed a place to vent. I am considering taking some of my pain meds from surgery to lessen my throat pain so I can get some Water down. Blah. Damn sickness. Strep always takes me down for a good 4 days. And thank goodness for liquid antibiotics!! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Protein bars

I like a chocolate mint Life Choice bar. It has 20 grams of protein. It is kind of chewy so you need to like chewy things. I get them at WalMart.
