I had a fill in March that probably was too tight. I just really focused on eating small bites and chewing. After a weeks it got better. I have not gone in for a fill since then because I get stuck fairly easily. About a month ago I began getting stuck on everything. I eat my yogurt...stuck. I cannot eat anything of any nutritional value. I thought going on liquids a few days would resolve this and it does help for about one meal and then I get stuck on everything again. I am now to the point that I am pretty miserable. I will call the doctor Monday morning. I am not a complainer so I did not want to go into the doc for every time I get stuck. I want this to work after all this is what I signed up for. I am feeling a bit defeated. Any recommendations?
Since March is a very long time to wait. I understand not wanting to whine or always run to the doctor, but I believe you have made the right decision to go back.
I have read some that said even 1/2 of a cc makes a difference.
Let me know what happens.
Best luck in your journey!!!

Sorry for your discomfort...
After three weeks post op I was still getting very bloated and it was painful.
I figured out I am so use to drinking a large amount of liquids at one time, I had to try
to remember to drink only one drink at a time. I cant just down 3 or 4 ounces at a time without
the gas and bloat to return. I still get impatient..
I hope this helps...
I also read on someones comment that anything they hurt they do the
"downward facing dog" yoga pose.... I have tried it and it does give relief sometimes!

I have a realize band. My doctor made the decision... I do not second guess him.
I do believe the work the same way. I don't know what size or how many CC i have in my
band... I am afraid I would focus on that too much. I am just learning to work with my
band to make me healthier!
I am sure you will have great results!

Sounds like you are on the mend.... nIt will be all up hill from here. Take your time, but try to walk.
The first few days it was easier to walk when I held my belly to keep it from moving. Every day
I felt better....
Best wishes on your journey!

I don't have insurance at all and knew it was best option for me.
I paid part and put part on a low interest medical credit card.
I think its the best money I have ever spent!

So - an update.
Thank you for the update. I will pray for your recovery...
I love that your child is amused, but please monitor it closely!!
Just got home from the ER - sent there by surgeon.
Turns out the pain is from cellulitis. A bacterial infection of the skin cells. Last night my wife noticed that the area I was complaining about looked a bit red and felt warm. This morning it was bright red and hot to the touch.
So I got a round of IV antibiotics and the promise that if its not down tomorrow when I go back, I get to spend the long holiday weekend as a guest of my local hospital. My 5 year old son does think its pretty cool they drew a big black circle on my tummy with a Sharpie.
Hopefully I will start to feel better tomorrow. I'm so glad for a "pushy" wife.

That is not too far....I know there is a large bariatric community in Tampa.
Find a good surgeon and listen to all of your optons...
I wish I would have done this at a much earlier age. Take control now if you can.
I will help in anyway I can.

I am very glad your fill went fine... I knew you would do just fine!
My weight loss has stopped for about a week and a half... But I dont go back for a few more weeks.
I get discoraged and start the negative self talk about failure, but I straighten up and fly right.
Keep up the great work my band sister!!!

I did so much research before my visit I didn't really have many questions.
You being in the medical feild you will also understand easily what the procedures includes.
I followed directions and kept a positive attitude. I went in knowing I would be successful and
only 5 weeks post op I am still on my way......
Best luck to you on your journey!
I have never asked what size band I have or how many CC of Fluid I have.....
I am afraid I would fixate on the numbers.... Just me!!!!

thank you for your encouraging words. Did you have a lot of pain with your fill? I am a little nervous about getting it.
I was also very nervous about the fill( I dont like needles). All the anxiety for nothing.
My surgeon had me lay on my back and he felt around my belly and pushed a little...said a little pinch.... then said hold your finger here..... It was over barely felt anything...
I love my surgeon and his whole office.
I did not watch, I just layed still and followed his directions.
I was a little tired after, I think just because I was so nervous...
Take a deep breath and relax, I am positive you will do great...
