  1. Great motivating post !!! I can't wait to be where you are but at least 2 months banded I'm on the road
  2. 257.2 slow loss this week need to kick up the cardio
  3. 2 months post op and I do not regret it. I am amazed how such a small amount if food keeps me satisfied and the 3-4 hours. So much easier than my past dieting. This tool was the missing link in my weightloss success. First week was hellish the gas pains killed me but after that I was back to old me. Eating in public first time was scary but you know what no one cared what I are or how little good luck and this forum is a great place to be as well I read lost daily to stay focused and motivated
  4. I agree with the post above and the great thing about this forum is we have been there and understand. I'm only 2 months banded and I still have that worry despite my loss and NSV. I'm so afraid I will fail at this but I stay within my dietary guidelines and try and exercise 4-6 a week. When I have the o crap moments I log on here and just read and read ... We are here for you I am here for you. It's a new journey which is very scary ... But I believe will be worth it.
  5. Thanks for sharing mine is a sigh or burp 2 months out 1 fill and I get it it took me a few days to figure it out. But I like that signal it's crazy to even leave one bite but I do and am so proud.
  6. Great job !!!! That's an awesome percentage !!!!
  7. I have extremely gossipy co workers so I did not tell them and am not telling then. I got banded over summer break. I went to visit over the summer school session and just said I'm eating healthier/less calories which is true and I'm exercising more which is Also true. This is my journey for me no One else's business. I think it's a personal choice and since I'm always dieting this isn't a great change. I figure I had the two months if summer to get used to my new life style. Lets see what September brings !!! Good luck
  8. I am a speech pathologist and work with very active toddlers thru 8 year olds. I have a high tolerance to pain didn't pop a pain pill after being released from the hospital. I had surgery Monday went to mall shopping with teenage nieces Thursday I was exhausted and I usually exhaust them shopping. By the following Wednesday I went back to work part time. Lifting lightly (I do home based therapy as well so I must carry my supplies) and I was fine by Wednesday 10 days after surgery. Good luck Listen to your body. Your doing a great thing you don't want to make anything go wrong
  9. Checking in at 257.8 hit my August goal of being 258:) banded 7/1/13 down 35 lbs since pre op diet/lap band surgery looking forward to September challenge and making it into my next group of 10.
  10. Thanks for sharing !! As I change physically I am changing emotionally and mentally as well I guess. I see the importance of my good habits and putting me first. I notice people who know about the band are supportive but still it's difficulty because I'm changing and they may not be as I grow I'm learning who to keep and who to cut lose. Basically if u don't enhance my life u gotta go cause as my screen name suggest I choose to be happy
  11. Good to know I have been feeling it during spinning lately thought I did something wrong
  12. Good luck and great job on seeking help. I had a bit of anxiety first time going out with people who don't know I was banded . Alot of people don't know and you know what no one cared about what I ate and when people comment on my weight loss I give them half the tricks 1000-1200 calories a day n working out .
  13. Congrats and thanks for the motivation can't wait to get there I have 3.5 cc in 1O cc band going Monday for my second fill
  14. Great job can't wait to meet you in onederland
  15. Don't freak out and don't be embarrassed . No one needs to kno about your band and a good doctor will guide ur fills appropriately. I was banded 7/1/13 got my first fill 7/29/13,and am doing fine. The follow up fills and care from what I read makes getting the band successful. Don't let your fear of the unknown get in the way of this amazing journey to your new lifestyle .
  16. Happy birthday and awesome birthday gift -41 lbs !!!!
  17. Checking at 260.8 started 8/1 at 267 goal for august 258
