  1. Slow and steady does win the race if we are doing everything right it will click and it will come off. For me I have been overweight for 28 years I figure it's gonna take longer than a day to lose this excess weight so I just make the best choices I can. As far as the wise 10 yr old I guess he gets it from ur parenting skills. Kids learn what we teach them kids don't see the differences and brutally honest
  2. i am 3 months post op and have been taking the biotin and using the nioxin. i do notice more hair in my drain after the shower but my hair doesnt look thinner thank god cause its thin to begin with so I am hoping it is working. my nails look great due to the biotin to. I was lucky enough to get the nioxin on a groupon and bought the max allowed. Like anything we dont know till we try.. and hey wigs are in these days anyway int he worse case scenerio

  4. I got an email that you can bring ur clothes to this hotel I assume they do it every few months and you can swap clothes they even have fitting rooms. And whatever doesn't get swapped gets donated to people in need I say win win I'm very interested in donating my clothes to others on this journey. I hope they have the exchange again snd I hope to give away the size I'm in now at that exchange. I have evening dresses and suits that must go because I'm never going back to that size again.
  5. I love to shop and can't resist a good sale. Well for years I have been buying clothes that I will fit in one day because it is such a good deal or I jus t loved them so much I had to buy them. Yes I know I have a shopping addiction. We can discuss my shopping issue at a later date lol. Anyway I am beaming from ear to ear because I just took 6 pairs of pants that I said I would fit in one day to the tailor to be fixed because they are to long and the day to wear them is now okay next saturday when I go back to tailor to get them. I am so excited I want to take a ad out int he new york times. My hard work with an amazing tool is finally paying off. Next week I drop off a 45 gallon contractor size garbage bag full of clothes to a friend since I missed the clothing exchange at NYU. I can't even lift the dam bag. Eating clean working out and this band has made a huge positive difference in my life. Yes I still have 95 pounds but i already lost 1/3 of the 150 i started out to lose. This forum is so helpful and is the only pace besides the drs office my weight is public knowledge. Not even my sister or best friend know how much I weigh!! Anywa back to my happy weight be gone new clothes dance....

I have been banded 3 months and no major issues other than getting to know the band. Best decision ever and seeing the results outweighs all the other stuff .. Good luck in ur journey

  11. I forgot the nurses post op were wonderful !!! And I had a little scare with my heart the cardiologist was excellent as well dr Allen shay just wish he took my insurance at his private practice.... I stayed overnight the nurses on the floor well they were ok and couldn't draw blood I wS all black n blue :/ but they were entertaining to say the least especially the nurse and the nurses aid who obviously hated each other but it has nothing do with dr fielding and his staff his interns kept checking in me n were great as well Omg yes the liquid pain meds!!! I didn't take them But I still have the bottle just incase

  13. I was banded by dr fielding on July 1,2013 met him at initial consult n of course saw him day if surgery . Due to my schedule I haven't seen him for my follow up or fills. I have seen gaspare n frank for my appts n fills. I don't have a single compliant except I wish I did this years ago !! I did have a fight with the billing dept they sent me a bill for dr fielding pa ann who doesn't take my insurance ghi it was all resolved in a month my insurance covered 100% haven't received any bills as of yet but I do keep everything organized just Incase

  16. I was so nervous about the band I fought it for so long and I have to tell you I wish I did this years ago ... I didn't tell a lot of people cause their expectations wouldn't be mine. N the few I told I had to put a few people in check... My journey is my journey if I'm not obsessing over what in eating n doing please refrain from ur comments. Having a chat with a friend who knows n comments wow u look awesome I eat so little I gotta tell u it's annoying . After the initial surgery discomfort follow drs orders n ull be fine
  17. I have the last time I will wear this bag. I wear it if it's to big I wash it and immediately goes in the give away pile. I missed the clothing exchange at nyu so I'm giving my clothes to a friend and what she doesn't want I'm going to post on here to see if anyone in ny area wants them. Hell I have stuff with tags on it I'm giving away. Despite my plus size I try to be fashionable n love to look nice n put together so my closet was over filled . I think I'm giving away of 20 pairs of jeans alone I kept one as my reminder of where I was... I can't wAit to shop in regular size sections n no more lane
