Celebrating my bandiversary today! At this time one year ago, I was scared to death about to go into surgery. One year later and 83 pounds lighter and feeling SO much better! Only wish I'd done this many years earlier. If you're on the fence at all, go for it! It will change your life for the better!!

Almost a year since my surgery, and down nearly 81 pounds. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat! I'm getting my life back!

Finally approaching the 75 pound loss mark - things are moving so much slower now!

Yeah, I can definitely live with that rate, if it keeps going. And I am NOT looking forward to the TKR at all, but I've been putting it off for over 4 years now, and it was one of the main drivers for my having the lap-band in the first place. I desperately needed to lose weight before the surgery. My knee pain has improved significantly as I've lost, but so has my activity, which in turn causes more pain. It's a vicious circle - LOL! My original plan was to have it this coming August, but we'll see - I may chicken out before then. It is pretty major stuff!

Well, from July through December, I was losing probably an average of 10 pounds per month. Since Christmas, I think I've only lost about 15 pounds or so total. But, I'm happy with the loss, and I know it's just because I need to increase my activity. I just have a bad knee that needs to be replaced, so I need to make myself do something active that doesn't hurt my knee.
