Hey! I stumbled across this.. Watched the videos. Very nicely done! I'm 26 too. For some reason I didn't expect there to be as many people around my age on here.... (Maybe its because in my head I'm still that baby faced 18 year old lol) anyway.. I subscribed and am looking forward to more videos!

Lizzy do you have a body pillow? The pressure does help and that's the only way I could sleep in my bed!! (I'm a side sleeper)

    Collinsville area?

Hello! I was banded 5/14 and wondering if there's anyone in the area, or heck.. Even in Illinois in general that wanted a new band buddy!! It would be nice to be able to talk to someone who can relate to your situation! I am close to St. Louis but I've posted in the Missouri forum and it doesn't seem like there's a lot of traffic!

    Incision site pain

I am 10 days post.. I have 3 incisions.. 2 in my belly button and 1 on my side... And have mercy! If I would have known the belly button would have been such a pain to heal I would have went with the regular incisions (he gave me a choice to minimize scarring)

Not always! I thought so too but my port is a few inches above my belly button

    Newbie!

I've been lurking for a week now so I guess it's time to introduce myself... I'm Sarah I live in St. Louis, MO, im 26 y/o and was banded May 14. Pre-liquids i weighed 303. day of surgery i weighed 289 and I have lost 279 today... Woo hoo!! 24 lbs down! I am still pretty sore at my incision site, but I'm pretty sure that's because he went through my belly button. And my port site is still a bit tender. But nothing intolerable... But oh my.. The first 24 hours I cried so many times, my poor hubby didn't know what to do with me! Lol I didn't expect to be so sore, but I'm confident that its going to be completely worth it!! I haven't reacted bad to any foods yet ( just started full liquids today) but how do you know if you can't tolerate something? Do you throw up every time? Has anyone NEVER thrown up?! That of course is my ultimate goal.. Mostly because I don't throw up very easily.,. It's awful.

    Hiccups??

I thought maybe I was the only one! I'm 6 days post op and I get hiccups daily... And they hurt!(prob because I'm still a bit sore plus still have some gas pains) I googled it literally 2 minutes ago and the person said that's how they know their pouch is full OR it happens whenever they drink too soon after eating... I know I'm guilty of the drinking too soon part bc I'm so nervous I'm not getting enough liquids. So maybe that's it?
