Today I went in for the results of my blood work, and to have the paperwork signed and faxed to my insurance to start Weight Watchers then meet with a surgeon and schedule my surgery are the next step. Its still unreal I'm way excited!!
My blood work wasn't too bad but not 100% good, sadly. My testosterone lvls are high, my thyroid lvls are high and my risk for heart related issues are high as well. My doctor has referred my to a thyroid doctor for everything. And she believes that these could be related to why I've gained all my pregnancy weight back so fast and can't seem to take it off. And why I've always been over weight my whole life which is kinda a relief to know but she isn't 100% sure which is why ill be seeing a thyroid specialist.
But my insurance paperwork has been signed and is being faxed as we speak yay!! I'll be calling my insurance tomorrow to talk about when I start my weight watchers and if ill be doing the full 6 months of not.
I am so excited guys. I have one more step then I will get banded even tho it'll take 6 months till I reach the next step its well worth it. I figure ill be banded by my 22nd birthday!!!
Also btw I lost 4lbs on my own in a week omg I've never been able to lose lbs on my own I'm so proud of myself I'm at 261.8 from 265.7 go me!!!

I got my approval today also! Feeling about the same - super excited but also nervous. I am more excited though... I am just so ready to start this new chapter in my life. Congrats to you! Any idea what your surgery date will be?

I placed a pair of size 10 jeans (my fav Harley ones) in the fridge 2 months ago with the size label facing me everytime I opened the door. I am looking forward to posting a pic of me in them. I've had them for 7 years and have never fit into them. My goal

I have a better question for you. What if you don't do anything? Where will you be then?

I'm not an expert but it seems like you should wait until you are fully healed from the section which is 6-8 weeks. I have had three c sections. As far as breast feeding, I think the biggest concern will be supply since you are going to be restricting calories. If breast feeding is important to you I would hold off personally. I had a major surgery when I was still breast feeding my now 7 year old. I waited until she was one. I had my surgery 8 days later knowing that if I dried up that I had breast fed for my goal of 12 months. She ended up nursing for three more months before self weaning but my supply was never the same. I'd wait six months personally and spend that time with your baby and healing.
