  2. Does anyone know if it's ok to to eat any type of Activia yogurt once your banded? I used to eat it all the time pre-op. I eat regular low fat yogurt and greek yogurt almost daily for protein.
  3. Are you using my fitness pal or another tool to keep track of your foo and liquid?

  5. only 24 hours, then then go full liquid for another day, then slowly go back to regular foods. I tried scrambled eggs for dinner so far so good
  6. Just had my first fill 3cc in a 14cc band. I'm 4 weeks post-op also. My band feels tight while drinking broth but I'm able to keep it down.
  7. I was also told 4-6 weeks due to the risk of infection! but please check with your surgery first
  8. I've been having the same spasms on the opposite side of my band. I've name mine LapBaby. I constantly feel pregnant on a regular basis, most of my aches and pains have mimicked pregnancy. So strange it's been easy to adapt to

  12. Don't feel bad, I'm 6 days post-op and I decided to walk to the end of the driveway. It took 15 minutes roundtrip since I'm walking so slow. I hurt so bad had trouble getting back in the house (I didn't go alone). I'm exhausted, your body lets you know when it's ready. It's probably going to take 2 weeks. Don't beat yourself up its a lesson learned! Your partner in crime:)

  14. I burp every time I move at all. Haven't burped as much after eating, I'm a little backwards lolol
  15. I'm 4 days post-op with intense pain on the right side. It feels more muscular than gas (pulled feeling) especially getting up/down. this pain is keeping me restricted.
  16. congratulations newbie... welcome...I'm 4 days post-op and can only sit up for a few minutes at a time....everyday gets easier
  17. I'm also four days post-op and just this morning my pain is starting to get better. Hopefully this will last for the remainder of the day. What happens after you drink anything? Do you get sick? Are you sipping slowly?
  18. Thanks Minnesota, I'm not as tired as I thought I would be. Even with all the pain and discomfort it will be worth it in the end. I don't regret being banded. It is a huge commitment and adjustment. I've been preparing myself for the past two months physically and mentally. In some ways I believe getting and being banded is more mental. It has been an emotional rollercoaster. Just take it one day at a time. I also use Myfitnesspal as my other tool. I hope this helps. Please contact me if you want more information!!

  20. Myfitnesspal has helped me lose 25lbs. pre-op. I use it both on my phone and kindle. Most days I pre-plan my meals on there and that really helps. I love that it keeps me accountable and grounded.
  21. I was also banded on 7/11. My gas pains went away after I vomited twice yesterday. Too much moving around in and out of the car, caused me to vomit.

  23. congratulations your doing great.....We are all proud of you..... I get banded next week so I'll be where you are soon
