  1. I wouldn't say I'm scared but just anxious to get started on this next chapter. I have lost 16 pounds on the pre-op diet which almost broke me, but I got through it and I'm ready! If I can do that I know I can make my band work for me for the rest of my life. Also I set a goal of a 5k on 8/17. I may have to walk it but I will be in it!
  2. No I think I need another fill. I now know I can not eat bread. Gets stuck every time I try. No pizza at all. Other than that I am still ok with the fill. I still think I'm eating too much.
  3. I did we'll with preop but I have only lost 7 pounds in the month since I got my band. Feeling frustrated. I had a fill 2 weeks ago but today was one of the worst days for cravings. Q

    Banded 5/13 - help!

I am having the same issues. I was banded on 5/7 and I have only lost 2 pounds since. I did well with pre-op and post-op diets, I lost 23 pounds in that time. I also am having trouble finding when to stop eating. I have had no problems with food coming back up but I feel I am over eating. I am walking 2 miles 3 times a week and have been getting ready to move so my activity is really p compared to my life before lapband. I go for my first fill next Monday. I guess I too am just wanting some faster results and I am worried I'm eating too much.
  6. Ugh trying to respond to above post, I was banded on 5/7 and I know I can eat more than I should. I am having trouble figuring this out. I get no soft stop feeling. Sometimes I recognize "the sigh" but most of the time I don't. I get hiccups most every time I eat. It is just a few but someone told me that is because I ate too much. Can someone tell me, does the food we eat go through the band as we eat or is it all in the pouch and goes slowly? I have only lost about 3 pounds since 5/7. Compared to my previous life I eat WAY less so you would think this would be going quicker?

    Cautiously optimistic

I had it too. The best thing to do is walk. Even if it is a little at a time you need to get up and moving. Hope it is better soon.
  8. I had a hard time the first 3 days but after that no gas pain and steady loss. I'm one week out today and down 3 pounds, 23 overall.
  9. A new day! I still feel cruddy but much better today. I have been walking every chance I get and the longer the walks the better. I still can't tolerate much more than water or broth but feeling better every day. I am so thankful to be able to talk with others in my situation. It was so nice to know I wasn't the only one having these issues. LBT is a lifesaver.
  10. I'm there with you. I was banded on Tuesday and have been home for one night. I am to drink my protein shakes to get nutrition but can't even sip on them. I have no energy to walk around to get this gas pain gone and just feel crappy. No vomiting but I feel like that could come any moment. I really want to take a shower but I'm afraid of passing out. I keep telling myself this will get better but this is worse than any surgery I have ever had. Can anyone tell us how many days this will last? Also I'm having trouble taking deep breathes. Could that still be some of the gas?
  11. Went well and in my bed. I have been walking but the gas seems to be sitting on my chest and not so much in the shoulder. Hard to take deep breathes.
