What to tell nosy people?
BandtoSleevechick replied to Amp1504's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know i was so excited that i was making this lifestyle change since it took me so long to make the decision and finally say okay it's not a easy way out type of thing.. One co worker who had hers done heard me telling people and told me i didn't need to tell anyone if i didn;t want to because she had gotten some negative responses at work... i feel the type of response you receive when you share you.. with co workers or whoever reflects the type of person you are... not to mention in my workplace rumors can spread like wildfires and i would rather them hear it from the source and not some messed up rumor that i was on drugs... I would agree and say you could say you personal reasons and do not wish to discuss it at this time ( usually people get so wrapped up in their own life that they forget about that other time) and i also know some who have said they are having gallbladder surgery. goodluck! -
I noticed the boobs first as well... sad to see them go BUT the only thing that changes is the number not the cup on me lol

Where Are You in Your Weight Loss Journey?
BandtoSleevechick replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was banded 4/24/13 and down 23pounds ... love this journey i'm on can't wait to see what the future holds -
40lbs lost yet I dont see a thing!
BandtoSleevechick replied to koolkel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When i look in the mirror i see the same as well... do you feel it in your clothes? They say a scale can be our worst friend.. i say our mirror is equally just as bad.. we get all in our head about it ... i use pictures, and the way the clothes feel and the joy of being able to pull a pair of work pants up and down without unbuttoning or unzipping... i also say go get yourself a nice summer dress.. one that's easy to be taken in through out your journey..What you see is what you make of it .. -
