Congrats!!! Its a wonderful site! I wish i would have found it before i had my surgery but sad to say i found it right after.

I couldnt tell you what i craved because i received mine 2 days after my surgery .. i know i loved my ice pops tho during that time... i think if you do protein shakes make some decadent ones like chocolate n pb add ice so its like a shakey type i loved that too anything with my choco protein frozen peaches added some cinnamon things like that!! hope this helps

Mine took about 4 months to complete and that was because my Nutritionist appt's had to be a month between visits and my insurance required three visits. Once everything was submitted and approved to the insurance company i went into the Dr's office to schedule my surgery.. i opted 2 weeks later due to work and loa/flma process.

Congrats on speaking with the surgeon! Its a wonderful first step. and a step closer to your dream if you allow it to become your reality. Don't let the what if's of fear and the unknown consume you.. if you want it go for it!!

My first week wasn't so bad... i was suppose to be on clear liquids a bit longer then i was but only by a day or two.. i took it easy .. walked as much as i could which wasn't a lot but at least i was moving..the gas pains were a bit painful but the walking and a heating pad helped.

I'm still learning everything i was just banded april 24th. but i am in NJ as well!!!

I found the same to be true with my shakes and soups and after an hour in the soup aisle looking at lables.. they have very little protein in them. i was shocked.

it was normal for me and then i switched to puree'd foods and i an not hungry after

mine took a couple of weeks.. give them a call for an update.

you can also bake the Gordon's and get the same result.

So on 4/24/2013 i made my way down the hall to get ready for my surgery and in a blink of an eye it is now 12 days after.. despite the gas discomfort and discomfort i still have due to healing the Dr said that I'm healing wonderfully and am down 11 pounds since my pre admission testing... 12 days later i haven't had the feeling of why did i do this.. my whole experience has been excitement and patiently impatiently waiting for my date .... So i laid in bed last night and said.. just wow..and now what to myself as the excitement is still buzzing in my head.. but now not for my surgery to take place.. but for all the wonderful things that will come my way due this .. i am excited to see the changes in my life for the better... I know this will be a roller coaster ride of emotions as i never knew what it was like to be a size 12 ..and i anticipate on having that phantom tummy disease LOL but i hope on having a smooth ride while having the time of my life with this new me during it all.. i started the milk in my shakes when i went to full liquid stage,.. haven't had an issue yet.
