  1. I picked 160. It technically still overweight but I can't picture myself there so I figured that would be a great long term goal.

In some senses I think I will look anorexic at 160 but that's a total Loss of 83 pounds and 35 pound lighter than I've ever been able to get myself even on appetite suppressants (I bounced between 193-197 for 8 months while on phentermine until my body grew immune)

  2. I have my first fill on the 12th and I'm more nervous about that then I was the surgery.

Honestly it the part of getting up and walking to a X-ray machine with a needle in my that terrifies me((I'm terrified of needles! When I was younger I use to get dizzy when I saw them so I stopped looking at them-this one I can't ignore though)

  3. I think I have my first stuck episode. I waa eating canned pears and thought I had it mushed up enough.I was on the phone and not paying attention though. I just feel pressure in my chest. It doesn't hurt or anything and I can still get Water down. Do I try to pb it up or should I just wait and see if it goes down on its own.

See if it will go down on its own within a few minutes. Sorry Hun hope it gets better

  4. What the others said... more protein' date=' less carbs. eggs, turkey sausages, yogurt. I never thought I'd eat yogurt, but I add blueberries to mine and that's my breakfast. I used to eat oatmeal, but the nutritionist wanted me on protein.[/quote']

Never thought about turkey sausages that's a excellent idea. Thank you

  5. I start my pre-op today. It's much better than the one Dr. Hollis gave me. When I get back home I will share it. I don't remember off hand everything but I know in addition I can have sugar free Jello and.a few other.things inbetween to help with the hunger.

Who is your doctor now? I'm sure it's in here somewhere but I'm driving and didn't want to search lol.

Congrats and good luck!! The first few day after surgery are the worst-as far as pre op I didn't have much trouble till day 9-10 (other than I messed day 1 up not thinking about it)

  6. I'm in between games so I can type a little bit. I was so scared to start crossfit. I had been working out a lot at a gym and I asked the guy that taught cf if they had a crossfit for dummies! He said it was all for dummies! I ended up trying another crossfit box in my town because the price was right and a parent at my school recommended it. I was scared to death. When you start a good coach will modify for you and usually you only do half the workout or so depending on what it is. I had my band done in late June and I was 276. My CF coach takes measurements every month and I was 230 for my January measurements. I am now 207 but as much as I have been loosing fat I know I have been gaining muscle. I did a body fat test where they submerged you in Water and I came out to be 23.9% body fat which just floored me! I was so sure it was going to be more but I have 156 lbs of lean mass (muscles' date=' organs, bones, etc.) and only 49 lbs of fat on my body. Still quite a bit of fat but I am considered in a "average" range. If I loose 9 more pounds of fat then I will be in the "athletic" range! When I started I was doing 2 days a week for the 1st month, 3 days for the 2nd month, and now I go 5-7 days a week. Sometimes I do the workout twice a day. I am usually sore and exhausted but I am in the best shape of my life. I love stalking my coaches' page to see what my workout tomorrow will be. Youtube was my best friend when I first started because I would look up the workout then go see a video of what in the world that meant! It won't take you long to get the crossfit lingo down. If you would have told me a few months ago I would be able to do a freaking handstand I would have said you were crazy but that is just one skill I have been able to accomplish![/quote']

And you motivated me to give it a go when able to exercise again
