The only way you can be sure you're not eating too much is to track your calories and measure your portions.I'd start doing both if I were you.
I agree get a food journal and count calories.

Well I'm at about day 9 of post op and here comes my appetite back!! I'm so sick of liquids' date=' I started to puree foods, but I found myself snacking on them throughout the day - instead of set meals. I made chicken salad and it was so good it seemed like was constantly going by the fridge getting a spoonful.. If I don't eat I have NO ENERGY!! I'm also having a hard time getting fluids in, 1, I have a hard time sipping, esp when it's this hot out. and 2, they just feel "sloshy" in my stomach...OH, and, I STILL have the CO2 gas pains in my left shoulder....will that EVER go away??
I'm so looking forward to feeling 'normal' again...[/quote']
Yes the pains go away give it a few more days. I slept alot at first because I couldn't get all my Protein in

Untill this past week my weight hasn't changed. Past few days I've been having a very slow change..it didn't start till I was off mush and counting calories and measuring what I was eating. My surgery was on the 7th

I see so many people have dropped so much during their pre-op diet. My surgeon only asked I do three days on liquid before surgery' date=' I'm kind of wishing he would've given me a pre-op diet to follow too.[/quote']I had a two day all liquid but a two week diet all together. Two Protein drinks and one meal. But yes so far that's were I most of the weight. I kind of wish I had done it longer than too weeks though

Doctor told me I lost about 18 on preop but I didnt weigh myself before at my house so I can't give a accurate number on tht because my pre op class was several days into my pre op diet

That's awesome! How much have you lost after getting the band' date=' not including pre-op diet?[/quote']Right about 10-12 pounds but that's in the past week or two. The first week or two of surgery I actually gained weight -about three pounds:/
My scale didn't start moving at all until I started on mush foods. I was incredibly swollen after surgery and it stayed that way over two weeks. Of course it was better by the day but still swollen.

My bariactric nurse recommended compression garments she gave us a website I think you wear it while your losing weight. It's suppose to help with not having the need for plastic surgery. But i think it would still depend on how much you lose and how much extra skin is left. But here is the website isavela.com. I have not tried this personally so I can't tell you if it works. I might try it though. What's the website? I went to academy looking for some but I'm just not sure what I need :/

I just set my surgery date for June 21st last week' date=' so now I'm becoming really motivated to be as prepared as I can before then! I know we're pretty much limited to walking for a while after surgery so I starting walking today with my dog. I have that Endomondo app on my phone that tracks how far/fast I go and I went .78 miles today in about 15 minutes, so I'm okay with that! I really wanted to do a mile today, but it was really hot out, I probably shouldn't go at 1pm in Texas in the summer lol. So what are some other ways y'all got into the routine of working out when you're obviously not in good enough shape to go run a few miles or do crossfit or anything? I actually like going to the gym when I make myself go lol.[/quote']What part of Texas? I'm in Houston area but I just resigned up at the gym. My thing is I was told no treadmills for at least a month and that's the easiest thing at the gym so I have to wait to start up

Well Monday I had my first person that didn't know I had lap band ask if I had lost weight :)
I work with constant people and a few that knew have mentioned my face looking thinner and shirts looking baggy but Monday morning was the first time I had seen one of the construction men working on our building since the week before surgery. He walked in and starts talking to me then mid sentence stopped and asked if I had lost weight.
I told him that I had lapband on the 7th of this month because I guess I felt he needed to know I hadn't done it on my own.?.
Anyways since my preop I have went from 243 down to 209 (scale said 208-208.5 this morning when I woke up)
It felt very good for others to notice. I know my scale is moving but I don't feel skinnier even when my pant don't stay on as well as before..
