  1. I'm going to sue Netflix! They suggested that I should watch Cake Boss' date=' I'm four episodes into it and now I'm all nutty-crazy craving cupcakes. Ugh![/quote']

I feel you with that evil show but thank you for the chuckle. :)

  2. Wow incredible the lack of compassion on here. I'm two months 12 days post op and I haven't felt myself once since' date=' but its taboo to share such experiences. The excruciating pain finally went away but the constant other pains haven't but its scary to share. :( What I am certain about though is that regardless of anyone's claimed happiness with any WLS it's not anything to be happy about. It's unnatural and preventable. All these young kids doing this surgery should be considered a crime. All these parents allowing their five year olds having adult size meals should be fined or something. And I'm glad that Maui hasn't let anyone intimidate her into silence. Right now my stomach feels so weird that I gave my husband my surgeons cell number And some pertinent information, in the event something happens to me. I don't understand y all the self righteousness, when we all know that WLS is not ideal for anyone to have, and maybe just maybe the problem is in the delivery, but maybe not.[/quote']

:/ I hope your gets better Hun. I'm not even a month out yet but I understand the stomach feeling weird.. But it sounds like your is much more than mine and I'm sorry for that.

Have you spoken to your doctor about the pains? My only real pain is laying on my port side and lots of tenderness--I don't mean to be nosy im just curious and constantly looking for more stuff to look out for.

Good luck and I hope this gets better for you.

  3. Oh ok' date=' now I get it! :) well the craving of food didn't start for me that early, but it did come around. When do you go to purée foods? My advice is just think about the serious complications that eating this early could cause.. I know the food looks, smells and probably tastes good, but it's simply not worth it. You will be able to have good tasting solid food again, but you just have to wait it out.. Good luck!! Stay strong, no solid food is with hurting yourself over (which it sounds like you understand that very well). Sorry that I don't have any great advice[/quote']

Whoops I misunderstood as well sorry. Leave it to the female to Jump to conclusions lol.

Purée food make it easier but the first week was pretty bad. Once I was on full liquids it was better. I also purchased a cookbook on line that had guide lines for what to eat and how to eat it depending on how many weeks it had been since surgery. Those cook books are still my life saver.

I did bad and tried to move to solids on my second week because I was chewing it really well and putting it in my magicbullet blah blah blah but once I went to me post op appointment and got a better understanding of why I can't hurry my self along (insides healing and adapting) I put a stop to it and started following the doctors instructions

  4. I was banded on May 16th' date=' and at my follow up appointment was told to slowly introduce soft foods. Now everytime I eat, even if it is only one small bite, I get nautious. Has anyone else been experiencing this?[/quote']

What kinds if food are you eating? I did but I stayed on mushies longer because of it

  5. I was wondering the same thing. Usually' date=' she is all over these forums, and I haven't seen her in a couple of days. I just looked at her profile, and she posted that she had blood clots in both legs, and is in the hospital. I hope she is okay - that is very scary stuff :([/quote']

Oh no :( hope she is ok now. That's scary. I noticed I hadn't been seeing her :/

  6. I was banded on the 20th of May. I really want to get in the pool tomorrow and just float around. That's 12 days post op. think that's ok??

I was told 6 weeks before I get in my own pool 8 for a public pool
