Have any of you tried the hair skin nail Vitamins? I was more recently banded and have started noticing my hair shedding more than normal so in addition to the Protein and Biotin I've started taking the hair skin and nail vitamins and I'm hoping I can tell the difference shortly. Sunshine

I was banded June 28. So my one month is in a few days. I've had my first fill at two weeks and have little or no restriction. Im set to have another fill next Monday. I'm really hoping that the hunger will subside with this one. But I'm maintaining!! I've been going to the gym for the past two weeks and so far I have dropped 3% of body fat (really happy about that ). So I'm just moving along. Sunshine

Has anyone tried Quinoa since being banded? Has it caused any problems? I would like to try it because of all the health benefits but I don't want to cause any problems once I'm banded and healed. Thanks in advance Sunshine

I'm very newly banded (today). I got home around 5:30pm and been napping on and off for hours, it hurts a little climbing in and out of my bed its high but I hold myself. also I been going up and down the stairs to the kitchen ( i live in a bi level). Good advice is to keep moving it hurts at first but it is what gets the air out. Sunshine

I'm feeling good....yaaaaaa considering the trauma my body went through today, I'm feeling good. I took the liquid pain meds and they came back up plus not feeling pain bad enough so I'm not going to take anymore unless it gets bad. I've been sipping my Water, I have a heating pad around my shoulders, I'm propped up and I've been getting up frequently to "pee" and walk around. You guys have no idea how much all the tips/advice from this site has help me. I pray for the healing of all the banders here that are going through extreme pain. Sunshine

That Girl 79 I am doing the same thing as you! The only person knows is my sister for the same reason cause I need someone to drive me there and back. I told my boyfriend that I am having hernia surgery cause he is going to miss out for a lil while and I am not ready to share that I'm having WLS. I will once the weight starts to come off but I'm just not ready to share that now with the people that know me....so I understand why you are going that route. Sunshine

I went a bought a heating pad as well. From my understanding the grass will be trapped in the shoulder and rib cage area after surgery. So I'm trying to make sure I have all the essentials. Hope that helps! Sunshine

I am on day 4 of my pre op diet and I am having trouble eating. I am struggling to sip all this liquid, broth,shakes, Soup because I am not hungry. I thought I would be ready to gnaw an arm off but I am forcing about 900 calories down cause I know I need the nourishment. What can I do to get some appetite I still have 8 days til banding? Sunshine

I'm having the same problem with my fitness pal it keeps telling me I need to eat more also. I also have FitBit and I like that tracker better. Right now I could eat 1200 calories if I tried. Sunshine
