  7. I need this surgery so bad but everytime I want to start the process, something messes up with my insurance. Back in 2010, I had reached my heaviest of 248. I went down a bad road to drop the weight and when i got down to 232 within 2 months, i found out I was pregnant. When I gave birth I was 235 & then dropped down to 212. Ever since then my weight had yoyod between the 220s to230s. I was able to mantain a weight of 218 for a while when I decided on the surgery. I realized my bmi wasnt high enough since i had no comorbidities. So i gained weight. Im spiraling downward. I left my bf of 6 years due to constant verbal and emotionsl abuse. Im 23, i shouldnt have to deal with that. I should be happy but im not. I just keep eating & eating. I reached the bmi i needed but i keep going. I hate myself.
  8. I have two reasons: 1. So i can have nice hands when i end up getting engaged. (rings look weird on my fingers) 2. I always wanted to pull off wearing a tight tshirt and baggy sweatpants and still look cute.

  10. Today, I finally told my pcp that I decided I wanted the lapband. Hes one of those doctors that are very hesitant even giving out antibiotics so I was worried he would put me down about this decision, but it was just the opposite! Now that I have him in my corner, i feel like this is a possible surgery

  12. Thats another fear I wanna be able to do the diet and work extremely hard at following it since for once I KNOW itll pay off but thatll easily bring my bmi under 40 again.
  13. I had a cat that used to want nothing to do with me, then I got pregnant and he kneaded my belly constantly. Silly kitties.
  14. Yea i went for the initial visit, at the time my bmi was 39. They told me to do the sleep study first, since i had none of the other comorbidities. By the time i was gonna make an appt, i found out my insurance was cut off. I made the decision just in case i didnt have sleep apnea to just gain the few pounds bringing my bmi to 40.
  15. The requirements are bmi of over 40 or 35 with hypertension, diabetes,or sleep apnea. But im a worry wart and feel like my bmi wont be enough
  16. Well i have the initial visit a while back(2 months maybe) & requirements were just that. Bmi of over 40 or 35 with comorbidities. At the time my bmi was 39 with no known comorbidities. I wasnt sure about sleep apnea and right about the time i was gonna get tested my insurance cut off cause i needed to send in paystubs which my job was giving me issues with. Im pretty sure i dont have sleep apnea though. So i decided to gain the few pounds needed to make the bmi requirement. Insurance is about to get turned back on but I have this pit in my stomach that all the hard work wont pay off and im hoping someone else has state insurance and was approved off the bmi alone.
  17. How many of you have gotten approved for surgery based on bmi alone and have no comorbidities? I have state insurance so thatd be medicare right? Im worried that Ill go through the whole proccess and get denied over and over
