Today, I finally told my pcp that I decided I wanted the lapband. Hes one of those doctors that are very hesitant even giving out antibiotics so I was worried he would put me down about this decision, but it was just the opposite! Now that I have him in my corner, i feel like this is a possible surgery

Great. You'll need that. I don't know if you are private insurance, but alot of them require you have weight loss programs for several months before approving the band. My pcp was also great. I cant wait til I see him again and show off my progress.

My pcp and my gyn were both very supportive. My gyn's mother had also had wls. It really helps having that little bit of extra support in your corner!
