  1. I'm in the Houston, tx area and I have a bunch of jeans, some shirts and dresses ranging in size from 22-18. Most of the jeans were hardly worn. I'd like to get something for the items because I paid a lot for them but I'm gonna sell them pretty cheap $5-$10 for jeans $10 for dresses(only have a couple) and maybe $3 for shirts. Email me if you're interested in taking a look at why I have! Email- blondechcky@yahoo.com

  2. I had the same when I would bend over I would fee really tight and if I did it too much the pain would last for a while. But I'm just under 3 weeks and no more problems like that. My port area gets a little sore when I lay different ways but that's it. I'm the toe to push myself too. I should be in tr mushy stage but I've been eating solids and chewing well all week with no issues. Everyone heals at different rates.

    Good job on the 12lbs!

  3. Everybody is different. For me I started walking the next day. I walk a 1-2 miles real slow couple of days after it. I gave myself 2 weeks b/4 i started to run. I completed a half marathon 1 month after surgery. My longest training run was 6 miles after the procedure. It can be done. I thought the hardest part was not being able to lift any weights for that month.

I agree, I'm ready to get back to the gym doing weights. I feel like I'm ready but ill wait a little longer to finish healing. I haven't been in any pain since the week right after surgery.

  4. I do use mfp. My band isn't restricting I haven't even had a fill yet. I can only eat such tiny portions I'd literally have to eat all day long to get to 1000 calories. I'm trying to do better, I had my meals and a couple Snacks and I was around 797 before exercise, and I'm going to stay off the scale for at least a week to give my body some time to change. I'm still new to this stuff so I need to make it work to me.

Also if anyone else is on mfp you can add me (callie_henry)

  5. My nutritionist was very vague. They gave me a weekly plan for the first 4 weeks but only suggestions. No portion sizes or calorie goals. Right now I'm supposed to be in the mushy stage but I honestly don't see the point in sitting around eating all slider foods that don't satisfy me. I started eating boiled chicken and broccoli yesterday and just took tiny bites and chewed a lot and I've been fine. I'd just rather eat chicken then mashed potatoes so I'm just being careful and getting a lot of info from here.

My surgeon is really laid back (soda is ok, drinking with meals is ok...) which I love about him because I'm the type to do my own research rather than follow a strict meal plan.

I feel like I just need to find my right balance of calorie intake to lose the healthy way.

  6. I'm having this issue too. When I eat how I'm supposed to I can only get to about a max of 600 calories before exercise. I had a "cheat day" and still only got up to about 1000 for the day before my exercise. I'm only about 2 weeks out but all last week I didn't lose at all. I kinda figured in the beginning if be losing fast and I seem to be stuck

I can't tell if its because I'm eating too few calories or what. Is there a way to figure out your perfect number? I'm terrified to start eating more and gain, but that seems like the only way to start losing. This stuff is hard.

  7. I track everything and make sure my portions are right I just can't sit down and eat all at once. For lunch I had a cup of Tomato Soup and I ate about half then came back to it about an hour later and finished it. My calories right now are averaging around 350 a day. My dr didn't really set a calorie goal for me for the recovery diet.

  8. Ok so I'm newly banded and I'm in the full liquids stage. I'm wondering if its ok to eat my meals over a long period of time. I still only eat my small portion but I find even a cup of Soup I need to spread it to about 2 or 4 sittings of small bites. I'm satisfied after a few bites and don't want to push it but then 30-60 min later I'm feeling hungry again. Is it ok to do this as long as I'm still only eating the same small portion? Thanks for any advice.

  9. I have an appt at the 4 week mark with my surgeon and if I need a fill ill make an appt with true results because that's who will be doing all my fills. I think I will need one. I'm not sure if mine has any Fluid (forgot to ask) from surgery. I'm noticing now I am getting hungry. I'm satisfied on very little still but I liked when the hunger was gone. Although I've been under 200 calories all week. I guess we'll see what they say.

  10. I didn't have a hernia repair but I've always had a pretty weak stomach. Maybe that's part of it. I guess everyone just a heals differently. This was my first surgery and even though unheard experiences on here I think you never really know what to expect.

I know I need to get some Protein, but I'm not gonna lie it is kinda nice being grossed out by the though of food right now. Much better than craving!

  11. I couldn't eat it! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I'm just so nauseous every time I smell something is not a soup' date=' I tried one little spoon and I had to stand up to get my nauseous medicine. I shouldn't get that concern since I'm only 1 week prep op and tonight I can start my mushed foods, but it feels bad <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I prefer not to eat at this point, just water.[/quote']

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm just 5 days post op and the though of food makes me ill. I've been walking around with nausea meds at all times. I can't even get down my shakes. I had to hold my nose and just swallow last night to get anything down then chase it with nausea meds.

  12. Ok so i had surgery Monday the 13. I haven't really been out of the house except to walk a little bit one of the reasons is when I walk I get nauseated because I feel like my incisions are being pulled down. Anyway tomorrow I'm going on a short shopping trip with my mom I'm wondering if I could wear a compression garment to kind of hold everything tight and in place.

My incisions are very high like under my breasts so when I sit they feel good but when I stand I almost have to hold my tummy tight. I'm wondering if wearing something for just a couple hours would hurt anything. Or am I the only one who has experienced this?
